  • Great video.

  • LEAP believes that adult drug use, however dangerous, is a matter of personal freedom as long as it does not impinge on the freedom or safety of others.

Finally someone with a shred of sanity left in the world

  • thanks for this video

  • @CarbineKingClassic: Finally someone strikes the nail on the head. That's the real issue. Like Milton Friedman once said: "I don't think the government has any more right to tell you what goes into my mouth than what comes out of my mouth".

All these other people are talking about semantics... what a narcotic is, what it means to be addicted... eh

  • Who owns your body? Does the state? Does the state hav a right to tell u what substances u can and cannot put into your body? No. Not anymore than they have the right to tell u what to eat or what time to go to bed. If think they do, then that makes u a slave and a fool. It's not an issue of whether or not it's a "good idea." It's an issue of human rights. If u ppl think decriminalization wiil lead to an increase in addicts too bad. It's none of ur concern what other ppl do.

  • @ErikS1975FreeState fair enough! Thank you for the conversation :)

  • @ErikS1975FreeState a drug addict is a drug addict. Someone who is misusing alcohol is a drug abuser. Someone who is addicted to nicotine is still addicted. And when you say "narcotic" are you meaning legal definition, or medical definition? Meth and Cocaine aren't narcotics in a medical term - narcotics are in the opiate family (with, you know, oxycontin). Legally, marijuana is lumped in as a narcotic, but is not one either. Definitions are key here, and they're very warped right now.

  • @ErikS1975FreeState I'd personally like to see the same standards applied to tobacco, alcohol, and other currently-legal medications for those addicted or experiencing troubles with their life as a result of their drug use. :)

  • @ErikS1975FreeState I'm with you, except that I'd say Marijuana is like weak alcohol more than strong tobacco, other than the primary method of consumption :) I look forward to the day when "marijuana addicts" isn't synonymous with "marijuana users", but right now with the choice of forced rehab (which includes an auto labeling of being an "addict") or crim record/jail time the legal definition of addiction is being skewed and needs an overhaul on its own.

  • @ErikS1975FreeState I think legalization with control and regulation is the only way to go. Decrim just creates a cash cow in the form of fines for users and incentivizes the violent gangs to meet the supply. Plus, what defines an "addict" is currently screwed up for marijuana - if you use it, you're automatically a drug abuser who needs help. Let's focus treatment on users who have real problems, and leave responsible, employed, tax-paying users alone as it is with alcohol.

  • great video. i believe the war on drugs is a great scam performed by the elite in part to totally control the drug industry, putting in prison the people on the street that sell drugs so they can sell them to the children of this nation, and on the other hand to have an "enemy" and justify the existance of the State. The same happens with war on terrorism, war on domestic violence, etc, they're all created for elite economic and power profit.

  • @signofthehammer don't forget good old Dupont with their nylon ropes that were in competition with hemp in the early part of the 1900s, and the pulp and paper industry that also had vested interests in keeping hemp illegal in the US. They're not mentioned much anymore in the documentaries, but the hemp side of the marijuana prohibition coin is pretty full of fail too. Thanks for your note!

  • @fragmat glad you like it! I had troubles uploading part 2 but it'll be up shortly! I've got a lot more great material to upload as well
