Yeah, that looked yummy, indeed. Hefty knife that your Mum had there, to work her meal with ...
And: I totally agree with you on the fact that Christmas trees and summer climate do not go together somehow!
But on the other hand ... what can you say: Basically it was, I guess, not very christmassy either, speaking of decoration, when Christ was born back then & back down there in Bethlehem, either; and I'm not sure whether a Christmas tree had been good for the mood in that shed there :-)!
Wow, Andy - this (obviously) delicious meal you had there really gets into some philosophical mood here ... and all just for the Christmas decoration in summerly temperatures and surroundings XD!
Ahh! It's 6:30 in the morning and all I want to do now is go to Michael's and eat! lol. Man! that all looked so delicious! And as far as the Christmas trees, I've lived down here in FL. now going on twenty years and I'm still not used to seeing Christmas trees, and houses all decorated with lights and all, and seeing GREEN grass and palm trees in the Winter! I miss the snow on Christmas!
LOL You're a lot closer to Michael's than I am... One of these years I should get back to Montreal, or even better The Laurentians for Christmas, but this year I will be working it after getting back from Mexico...

Sometimes I miss it but most times I don't. I'm going to snow country for Christmas this year.

Now you know where you can get some, but I'm sure the recipe can be duplicated locally... Key West is a diner's paradise!

Yep! Every place we went to eat in Key West was delightful.
I could get very well rounded if I spent more than a week there...
