Actually, Santabanos is pretty big on incest. Magdalene foaled a filly named Magdalina by Magnum, and then, they bred the filly back to Magnum! And, I had a colt by Magnum out of Allura, Allura is by Magnum! So, Magnum was my colt's dad, AND grandfather.
@Lolita5025 Excuse me, I'm sorry, it wasn't Allura, she had a DA Vinci foal that year. I can't remember the mare's name off hand! But, she's a Magnum baby.

Yes, they are groomed to perfection, and being encouraged to get "all"pumped up" to show their way of moving to best advantage. So it does look a little like a "beauty contest". :-)
