Photoshop! It's hard to explain, but you take a photo of what you want in the air then you take a pic of the background with out lego, put the two together and erase what is holding up the floating object!

@MrEliteTom you put them on bricks and make the bricks go higher and higher, then you erase the bricks using photoshop or something, so it looks like the thing is flying i guess.

@MrEliteTom in a stop motion editing program you can use a technique called masking. It allows things to appear to fly in the air. If you want to download some software, I would go for GIMP. You can use the masking technique there. Other options include Photoshop or Dragonstopmotion, but unlike GIMP, they aren't free.

Pretty simple, you just have to take a pic of the background without the think that is floating and then take a second pic with the thing (i.e. a lego man) in the air (he would have to be standing on a stack of lego bricks). DONT MOVE THE CAMERA OR IT WONT LINE UP! Then go into photoshop and open the first picture. Put the second over it as a layer and erase the lego bricks holing the minifig up. This makes him look like he is flying or jumping
