I'm from Laos. There's a reason we don't live in the trees. When the comunist comes. There's no place to hide. Jungle floor is where we live. Nice place. A dream home.
The treehouse is about 200 feet up a tree, but still lower than the hill nearby. So they strung a zipline from the hill down to this rad treehouse. You just put on a climbing harness attached to a simple zip line rig, and jump on. I think I was about 400 feet above the ground at one point, and going about 40 mph.
It's the Gibbon Experience - Bokeo Nature Reserve in Northern Laos, a 3 hour ride and 3 hour walk from Houay Xai, which is just across the Mekong from Chiang Mai. gibbonx [dot] org. It's a really fun adventure.

Wow! That looks awesome! I would love to fly through the jungle. Did you see any tigers or elephants in the jungle? I would love to see Laos!
OS253 2 years ago
didn't see any tigers, they were hiding i suppose. there's a nearby elephant preserve in thailand - see my early videos for elephant footage.

woah! that must have been scary to go there. How did you build it all the way up there and out there?
tweety9102 2 years ago
wasn't me who built it. The GibbonX people did, and they had help from the very nimble Laotian guides.

It is quite far from L.P. It is better off that you go up north and book it from there.
