I have one too ahahhs I have a video with my dog playing red freesbee in the snow like you , the video is 99% but not here on youtube . but you can see another video here /watch?v=qpxmtmAMbvo
well honestly, there really is no difference. People just have different preferences as to what they may call them. I find 'red' to be the most 'official'. The lighter colour would be the lilac or lemon. They are basically diluted versions of the red border collie, just as the 'blue' or 'grey' is a diluted version of the original black/white BCs. They are beautiful, but extremely rare and require a lot of knowledge on genes in order to breed them well. Hope that helped =)
Thanks for sharing Luna with us. My dear Sheltie had the same sweet face.

Say, what is the difference between a RED border collie and a BROWN/CHOCOLATE border collie?
Is the red lighter?
