  • hes white hoof isnt a breed fault its a beauty mark:P, god made all animals perfect:) xxx

  • Friesians used to come in many colors. Out crossing almost destroyed the breed. At one point only one approved Friesian stallion remained,. As I understand it, all Friesians alive to today trace back to this one stallion. A Friesian with more white than a small patch on the forehead can not be registered with the FPS. Any Friesian with any color anywhere other than black can't be used for breeding via the FPS. This does not mean they are not pruebred.

  • This is for Sigje14

Apollo is a pure bred modern friesian (they are able to have white on them)

Only Classic Freisians are ALWAYS pure black

Luv this video! I went and saw the show it was AMAZING!!!!

  • Sorry guys but that looks like a boot, yes some show up dark brown but it is not desired, were is the feathering on the hoof that all fresians have?? It does look like a boot on hid foot but im still curriouse to the feahtering! Sorry if o got some spelling errors :p

  • It is a pure friesian - if you look on the fps website they have a list of all the stallions on there and the percentage of offspring with white markings they have produced for the year - it pops up randomly in the breed!

Of course they are not seen much as they are usually put down or sold as meat even if totally healthy - shows how much some of these breeders are actually doing it for the horses!!!

  • he is a friesian stallion and does have a white sock, i had his brother who has 2 vivid white socks and a white star.

  • This is most definately a Friesan Stallion. His breed ing can be seen on the stud web sites. The don't believe the fetlock or hoof is white, I believe it is a white over reach boot placed over the hoof to prevent injury if the horse should step on itself whilst performing collected movements such as passage, piaffe and pirouetts.

  • That is a white sock on his foot, not a boot. Some Friesian's do get some white, this one also has a star. It doesn't make them not a Friesian but it certainly isn't a 'desirable'

  • my frisian has parasites in his hair so it falls out x.x

  • That is for sure a Fresian, if not it's a Paso Fino or a mix between the two, I'd say.

  • Thats a mixed friesian....beautiful!

  • Idd that's not a friesian XD

  • Whatever, this display was very nice. Very Spanish. Shows a Friesian has more agility.

  • I untacked, brushed and did this horses hair once! He is a Friesian and bloody beautiful

  • If this is the same horse i remember when Rene first got him he's calmed down a lot. Rene has done a good gob with the training by the looks of it.

  • The horses heels are fine, they just look long because they are covered by the feathers. lots of Friesians have small white marks on their bodies. they cant be shown but they still move well and compete without issues.

  • nice horse

  • this is not a frieser horse. that horse got a white hoof! frieser are totally black all over! that might be lusitano or a P.R.E

  • I am shocked when I see the front hooves of this poor horse with very high heels. Don't people realise that horses should land heel first, just like people do? Real bad shoeing!

  • That horse is moving in piaff which is a very collected trot where the hooves is about to land with toes first. I can agree with you that the horse has very high heels but in the meantime I don't think it suffer.

  • I think only mares are allowed to have white markings, but only on its forehead....

  • A white foot?I think it is awsome, makes the horse kinda special. But it actually is Friesian, not Fresian. He is goodlooking!

  • awesome.....xxxxxchantelle

  • pörfeckt ı lowe fresıan

  • Beautiful Piaffer. What is with the idiots complaining about a white foot? The horse is beautiful and happy in his work. Only an Idiot would comment about a foot being white. Probably an idiot who can not ride very well as they are the ones who are so concerned with this type of nonesense. Real riders ride!

  • Off course this is a beatiful and well trained horse. That's not the point...

The point is, it can't be a real Frisian. Because the should always be totally black.

But maybe FrEsian is different breed ;-)

  • obviously, you dont know very much about horses...because a true Fresian is not supposed to have ANY white on his entire body...they are bred to be completely black, im not saying that there aren't any purebred fresians that have white, its just undesirable. And in my opinion your freaking ignorant. Just because people are pointing out the fact that Fresian's are supposed to be all black does not have any affect on how well they ride...you moron

  • and that has what to do with how they ride? just because the said something about a white marking doesnt mean they dont no how to ride. u went way to far on that one

  • its not desirable but they can still be pure bred even with the white and it does not make the horse any less beautiful

  • This is surtainly not a full-blood Frisian horse, it has got one white foot. And they should be black all over! White marks are not permitted.

  • riigghhhtt

  • thats true

  • @Sigje14 thats a load of bull! i've seen red colored full blooded friesians with papers and a bunch of full blooded freisians with white markings whom also had papers. what kind of breed rejects horses with white markings or horses that dont come out all black? what kind of "breed" is this?!?

    btw its spelled "certainly"

  • @Sigje14 white mark only at mares and only is allowed little white star in head, stallions cannot have any white mark

  • Apollo has white on his hoof and he is a stallion

Are you saying he's a mare! He's a stallion, unless he's changed from last time everyone checked!!!!!!

  • @Chladaska that makes no sense what so ever

  • @Sigje14 For your information that fresian with the white foot is renees main and best horse!!! White foot or not he is still a fresian

  • @Sigje14 Any horse can have white markings, it's not at all common but not unheard of, my friend has a pure blood Fjord with a large white star who got sold as they wouldn't breed from him as they must have no white, same as you can get steele grey lippizaners, welsh cobs can't be coloured but you can get the rare blagdon markings that make them seem coloured, it can be a gene mutation or a skip or just a lucky colour defect, makes them look nicer i think
