While I was not there at this event, I was living in Belfast at the time as an 18 year-old provo. In the end it was a shameful event for nationalists. You have to remember, that a few days earlier we had the the milltown disaster, and everyone was on extreme edge. The driver simply drove into the funeral and freaked (and I don't blame him). Of course his erratic driving made everyone else freak out . Once their identities became known, it was all over. Perfect storm. I believe they meant no harm

In 1978 the RUC brought murder charges against 2 SAS soldiers for killing a teenager. Also in 1978 the SAS killed a hun by mistake in another balls up. In 1980 the 'M60 gang' took on a team of 8 SAS soldiers and cut Captain Westmacott in half with the M60. SAS are nothing when dealing with face to face combat.

My family drove down from stewartstown road, through andytown and onto the falls earlier that day and it was completely blocked off the whole way down incase there was another Michael Stone incident, theres no way they just happened to take a wrong turn and ended up there. While I was not there at this event, I was living in Belfast at the time as an 18 year-old provo. In the end it was a shameful event for nationalists. You have to remember, that a few days earlier we had the the milltown disaster, and everyone was on extreme edge. The driver simply drove into the funeral and freaked (and I don't blame him). Of course his erratic driving made everyone else freak out . Once their identities became known, it was all over. Perfect storm. I believe they meant no harm

In 1978 the RUC brought murder charges against 2 SAS soldiers for killing a teenager. Also in 1978 the SAS killed a hun by mistake in another balls up. In 1980 the 'M60 gang' took on a team of 8 SAS soldiers and cut Captain Westmacott in half with the M60. SAS are nothing when dealing with face to face combat.

The IRA killed members of the 14 Intelligence Company in Twinbrook and Turflodge alone but they were passed of as regular Army personnel that had been killed again to reduce the propaganda coup by the IRA/Sinn Fein. Also those 2 guys in the video were SAS soldiers.

My family drove down from stewartstown road, through andytown and onto the falls earlier that day and it was completely blocked off the whole way down incase there was another Michael Stone incident, theres no way they just happened to take a wrong turn and ended up there. @toptrichs you were brought up in it....doesn't men you know everything about it....especially not this incident. you'd be biased towards the IRA. this was a complete accident. the order were for no security forces to be in the area as the ira would be policing the funeral themselves. these guys guninely took a wrong turning.
