  • they baptized according to Matthew 28:19 thats wrong. u have to do by Acts 2 :38

  • This is the first time I'd ever heard of there being baptism at one of the Baptist conventions.

  • acts 2:38

  • The best decision anybody could ever make

May God Bless And Keep You

  • Ugh. Protestants are utterly deluded and moronic. Baptists are among the worst.

  • what about the Pentacostals and the Holiness?

  • They're all f'ed up man.

  • hold it, what church do you belong if any ?

  • I don't belong to any church, I'm not Christian.

  • then why are you kicking up for ?

  • Because you Christians make up a huge majority of the population so it's in actuality a huge part of my life trying to defend my beliefs from self-centered fundamentalists. The Abrahamic religions are led by fools and ego-maniacs who only desire power.

  • My, the Bible states in the name..singular, in the name of the father, son, and holy ghost which is the Lord Jesus Christ, that 's the Word now! Jesus commanded in Matt 28:19 to the apostles, they obeyed that 10 days later on the day of pentecost. When you get the revelation that father, son, holyghost are the Lord Jesus and not 3 individuals, a man is a father, and a son, and he is a person, It's One God all the time in different titles and manifestations. Lord(Father)Jesus(Son)HolyGhost(Christ

  • o God when will Protestants stop protesting :(

  • What are you talking about??? The National Baptist Convention is the oldest and largest African-American religious convention in the world!!!!! What do you mean by your statement: "Baptist people...who are they?" We (Baptists) are Christians foremost...denomination means nothing...holiness is a way of life and I am so tired of people putting up denominational walls as if one is "more holy" than another!!!!! Denomination is gonna send more people to hell than we will ever know!!!!!

  • well if that's the case u could go 2 hell

but im goin 2 heaven on the real word of God

  • Well that comment about denomination sending people to hell was not directly addressed to u unlike your statement towards me...but it's all good!!! But putting down a group of people based upon denomination makes u no better than people during slavery & segregation...even people now who still judge people based upon the color of their skin!!!!! With that being said, just remember it's all about lifestyle & not denomination cuz we all gonna be together as ONE when we get to heaven!!!!!

  • i apologize it's wasn't meant like dat

  • @BaptistBoi I agree I'm COGIC we came from the baptist church, but we are all God's children!

  • @BaptistBoi That is so true I'm not going to lie I'm have been a Baptist for my whole entire life....and another thing is that my roots from my daddy side is Pentecostal and Holiness. But I don't consider no domination because we serve as the same God....So in other words again I say that is so true!!!!!

  • yes they do

  • Yes, baptist people go to their own convention. Who are you? Satan?

  • SO THIS MUST BE THE NATIONAL POOL!!

  • Yawns........

  • GPAGraceTrain, why do you write a note like that?I think that is very disrespectful!

  • yes we do preach the word nd if u read ya bible you see were Jesus teaches He that believeth and is Baptized shall be saved thats the word

  • Not tryin to win. I will say this...these people have BELIEVED in/on the Lord Jesus Christ and have accepted Him as Saviour and Lord. We should be encouraging these new converts instead of arguing over the declaration of their faith. The most important part is not the baptism but the BELIEF(Mark 16:16)

  • thank u thats so right

  • Of cousre there is one god which is the father but he created jesus and the holy spirit (which is still apart of himself) to help him. like it says inthe beginning " the holy spirit covered the waters" and it says jesus was with the father drom the beginning.

  • Not to offend anyone, but I was born baptist and grew uo in a National Baptist Convention Baptist Church but now i go to a Pentecostal church and its sooooo much better. You can't think this is exciting..

  • right?! lol

  • Matthew 28:19 Here Matthew is showing that he understands the fullness of Jesus. He is saying that the name of the Father and the Son is Jesus; Jesus said I come in my Father's name and that name is Jesus. The Christ is the Holy Ghost. So when Matthew says to be baptized in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost he is saying Jesus Christ.

  • Somebody has yet to show me where in the bible that these new converts are not saved and hellbound for following Matt 28:19...I baptize in the name of Jehovah the Father, Jesus Christ the Son, by the power of the Holy Ghost...and the converts are SAVED...not because of how they were baptized but because they BELIEVED(Mark 16:16)

  • i could show you if you want (Jesus NAme baptizsm).. its awesome once you see it.. God bless!

  • When one looks at Matthew 28:19, father, son and holy ghost are the titles that God has taken, but God has a name. I'm a brother, I'm a son, I'm a friend, I'm an uncle, but I have a name. When you look at Acts 2:38, Acts 10:48, Acts 19:5, the name is revealed and it's JESUS. Colossians 3:17 says: Whatsoever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus. You baptize in Jesus name because that is the name of the father, the son and the holy ghost.

  • THIS BAPTISM IS SOOOO WRONG!!!!!

  • i go swimming all the time, in a much nicer and bigger pool than that. am i baptised?

  • It's in the Encyclopedia Brittanica the 11th Edit.

  • In that case we as Christian have just proved the bible to be in error. If Matt 28:19 was changed..then what else has been changed in the bible. What's the real truth? and what credibility is the Encyclopedia Britanica. Its a secular book used to discredit a sacred one.

  • The baptismal formula was changed from the name of Jesus Christ to the words Father, Son & Holy Ghost by the Catholic Church in the Second Century. -- 11th Edit., Vol. 3, ppg. 365-366.

  • Okay...I believe and practice the whole bible...show me in the Bible where people are not saved because they are baptized either way...the fact is these people have accepted Christ and we are debating the formula...the baptism is great but the act of belief and acceptance is the important element. At the end of the day God gets all the glory

  • Not so !!

  • praise be to the lord this reminds me of when i was baptist at the columbia river near, portland or. yet altough people decides to baptist because of fear /some by miricles in there lifes yet i at the age of 18 decided to follow the lord

  • Huh??? Your sentence was not complete and I am trying to figure out exactly what you were trying to say?

  • THERE IS BUT ONE GOD IN THREE PERSONS! THEY ARE ONE! Its like if you poured 3 drops of water on a plate and you tipped the plate alittle bit it all comes together as one.

  • I can't believe that although 2000 years ago Christ made a mockery of water baptism, these people still practice this hretical Jewish ritual that means absolutely nothing.

  • Oh so you are saying that jesus and john the baptist and many others are heretic..huh....I guess you blaphemised the lord

  • too bad all you are pumping out is hate mongering narrow minded bigots. Otherwise would be real sweet.

  • Do you believe that life starts at conception? Ron Paul believes that life starts at conception also. Ron Paul is running for president! Help him any way you can, please. Thanks to a large internet presence he has been able to stay in the race. Give hope to the young people of our country. Vote Ron Paul 2008! Check him out

  • I may not be in agreement with them, but they are obeying what has been revealed to them.

Jesus never said that to heaven you must have the correct doctrine. He said that if any man comes after me I will in no wise turn him away.

These precious souls obeyed Jesus' command and their names are written in the Book of Life.

My heart was filled with praise to see this video.

    God bless all.

  • i appreciate your statement and i agree with you. we are all serving the same God, God is not a God of confusion. we have to put our denominational battles asides and get on one accord, christ is not coming back for Cogics, Baptists, Apostolics or whatever, he's coming back for the pure at heart. only God knows if these people are walking and living a sancitified and holy life. once again thank you for what you said.

    God Bless You.

  • This takes me back when I was baptist when I was a young girl( 9 years old) They sung the exact same song when I stepped in the water. I was raised in the Baptist church and I appreciate the foundation I recieved in the Baptist Church. Although I am now COGIC, I dont believe that one denomination is better than another. Those with a pure hurt and have lived a life that is holy and acceptable to God will indeed see his face whether your are COGIC, APOSTOLIC, BAPTIST, OR CATHOLIC!! :-)

  • What nonesense. Re-read 1 Cor ch3. The fact that there are so many "diverse doctrines" and denominations in the mainstream Christian church today shows that practically no "Christians" believe or follow Christs words, just as he said it would be.

  • I am baptized in the name of Jesus only because that's how I understand the Bible. However, I can understand how others baptize in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

  • So where exactly does it say in scripture you should be baptized in the name of Jesus? By what authority were you baptized in the name of Jesus? Does your minister make this stuff up as he goes along? Read Mat 28:19. And if you think when Christ commanded people to be baptized he meant in water, you're as carnal as the day you were born.

  • i'm so glad my salvation is not in mans hands, cause man will condemn you to hell without a proper trial. if yall claim to be followers of christ then heeds his words in Matthew 28:19.

  • interesting.

  • Its not only baptists that believe in baptism!!

  • Hey Guys...must of you look like you can serve in IRAQ? Why don't you serve your true lord & savour GWB?!?!?!?!

  • COLOSSIANS 3:17= And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

  • what ever you do in work or deed do ALL in the name of the LORD

  • i agree with cogic4eva , !!!!!

  • jesus said in matthew 28:19 in the name of the father and of the son and the holy ghost so how can that be wrong? acts 2:38 is what peter said, the same peter who denied knowing jesus three times. so whom are you following peter or jesus.

  • Either way is fine. Scripture talks about both ways.

  • who is the name of the father, son, and holy sprit?Jesus there fore why do you baptise in the titles of OUR LORD.the bible says to be baptised in the name of Jesus.read acts 2:38 acts 4:12. IF YOU GOT MARRIED WOULD YOU GET MARRIED TO YOUR HUSBANDS TITELS?OR DO YOU TAKE ON HIS NAME?I LOVE ALL PEOPLE AND WANT TO SHEAR THE TRUTH THAT GOD HAS SHOWN ME.

  • Actually in this present age of grace, according to Ephesians and our Apostle to the Gentiles - Paul, there is only One Baptism - See 1st Cor 12:13 - That is being baptised by the spirit of God into the Body of Christ. The Acts 2:38 Baptism was for Israel and pertained to the Gospel of the Kingdom - Not the Gospel of the Grace of God.

  • NOpe...Acts 2:38 Baptism is For all the People

  • Nhel007, I have been watching some baptism videos and i noticed that on evey one you commented about strictly being Baptised in the name of Jesus. I'm quite sure that God would have you spreading his word and leading the lost to him rather than pushing people away from their relationship with God by claiming that their Baptism was wrong. Baptism is important but at the same time also only symbolic as a declaration of faith. For someone who truly has faith, a mere word change shouldn't matter.

  • You Trinitarian should Belive in One God and his NAME is JESUS CHRIST.

  • I am Baptist, I do believe in one God who was in the flesh Jesus Christ, God and man at the same time. And like I said, with accusations and comments like this, you're pushing people away from Christ when you should be leading them to Him. Are you truly saved or are you simply religious? Because there is a difference.

  • You are Baptist but your Baptism is wrong.

  • i speak as a oneness pentecostal, with that said u really need 2 examine urself-where is the love at? most trinitarians already c us as a cult, this dont help.repent and learn 2 speak, even rebuke in LOVE.

  • Many are "called," but few are "chosen."

  • listen I dont believe that the poster of this was intending for you all to be spweing doctorine out. I cant stand when people try to say other folks are doing it wrong because people dont do it like their church. How do you know YOU aint doin it wrong? Please people Saints need to realize all we need to do is preach Jesus and not the doctrine. Apostolics, pentecostals, baptists ,etc all feel like they have THE ANSWR! Lets just agree to disagree!

  • i agree with the ApostolicGodsChild they are doing it wrong and they are suppose to say that wen they baptist each of them

  • What was wrong with it? They did baptize in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit! If you want to find fault, why didn't you capitalize these names? speck and log, brother

  • it is written

  • Its says In the NAME?So What is the Name of the Father?of the Son?of the Holy Spirit?Read Acts 2:28 for the Name is Given!

  • This is totally wrong because The bible tells us to baptise in the name of Jesus not saying titles. When we baptise in Jesus name we honor the father, son and holy ghost. Their is no other name in heaven given among men, where by we must be saved. Their is power in the name.

  • AMEN...That is Absolutely Right!Acts 2:38 is the Right Baptism...
