  • Where do you buy the hooks that pull the silk onto your frame. I use the stick pins but was wondering about the other one.

  • @duron5966 Hey there duron, the silks hooks have many names - Chinese Claws, Chinese Prongs, 3-Prong Claws, Chinese Suspension Hooks. They are around $US1.00 each at the different places I've bought them in different countries. I'll be posting how to make your own on How-to-Paint-on-Silk very soon.

  • what kind of silk do you use?

  • @CUPCONIAN Hi there, thanks for watching my videos about silk painting on Youtube. I used different types of silk depending on the project I'm working on - clothing, wall hanging, cushion covers etc. In the demonstration in the video, I am using shiny Habotai or Pongee silk. Let me know if you have any other questions :-)

  • Hi Teena,

I love this film, I had a big old jar of cold wax but only used it with silk for the first time a couple of weeks ago in a workshops I did with some children in Kildare Ireland, I think the results were fab

    thanks for sharing your knowledge!

  • @susxox Hey Susan, I'm thrilled to hear that you actually had some cold wax and now you can use it! Woohoo! Have you had a go yet, and if so, what were the results? Cheers, Teena

  • I never heard of cold wax before!

    Thanks for sharing

  • @alonealotta Thanks for dropping by my Youtube channel, and I'm pleased you enjoyed my cold wax technique. It's so easy and a lot of fun - I hope you have a chance to try it out some time. Cheers, Teena
