UniHole, don't think we'll ever have to worry about this mess becoming popular, ever! This isn't a video that breaks ground by non-confirming, it's just a horribly bad video. The one area I believe where it would serve a purpose is to teach communication students mistakes in the production and casting of video. There are enough mistakes and bad examples here to provide an entire semeseter's worth of analysis.

I understand and appreciate trying to be different and cutting edge but I can't think of any DM video that is more of a failure in every aspect. Bad dancing, cheesy outfits and the lead lip syn synlcher looks like she just took about 10 valiums. I won't get into the group tongue bath that takes place. The songs on TOTU were a step forward for this band, the videos were not lead by this mess

I think your daughter did an awesome job in this shoot, and I'm sure she getting plenty of work from the promotional aspect of her talent alone, never the less, you'll find several hardcore DM fans that are upset about the producer picking Eric Warehiem to direct this video however. Basically he ripped off his own concept for the MGMT video in the process, that he already did for them, and DM isn't even in the same league as indie music. The video is more than just "gross", butjust unoriginal.

Common DM didn't create the video, they created the song. I think the video is supposed to be funny and distrubing. DM have lasted 30 years because they take chances and push the envelope.  Wrong was pure genius!

Yeah, but at least the band was involved in the video. I don't see the guys in any of these shots. I barely understand the concept behind this video, except that I already saw the other video the director Eric Warehiem did for MGMT music video.. and he ripped off the exact same concept. Lots of holes to feed(or fill) in this video. :D The director + the band apparently chose to *literally* show what the song means. I don't see a problem in that. ..and at the end when all holes are 'full' all people sever again. And the show is quite sarcastic as well. I definitely like it. Probably more than the song itself. I'm just missing a homosexual couple.
