I like this, but #1, they were punished with 40 years for not wanting to enter Canaan after Joshua and Caleb said it was doable with God's help...#2, he wasn't allowed to go into the promised land because he struck the rock twice instead of speaking to it as God commanded...other than these two things, i thought it was an excellent presentation
I have to agree with the other comment about the narrator. Without watching the video, I felt a little like I was watching a PBS nature show.
I also think it is unfortunate that the passover story wasn't included here. That informs so much of our tradition because of its connection to the Last Supper.
Based on this video, I'm not as excited about this as I was about Re:Form.
Great material! Loving the activities and leader guide that goes along with it.
If you are looking for any feedback, I do struggle with the voice in these videos. Maybe I am just used to the confirmation curriculum and how upbeat those are. But this feel a little slow in comparison. I found it hard to stay engaged with the video as a result.
Otherwise, great stuff! Looking forward to the release of this!
I saw the advertisement for your material, and was disappointed to see that the Lutheran contributors are members of the flamingly liberal, anything but Lutheran, or even Christian, ELCA.
@Simplicimus1945 I'm sorry you feel that an organization dedicated to serving the poor, freeing the oppressed, and spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all people is anything but Christian. Of course, Pope Leo X thought similar things about Martin Luther 500 years ago, but I pray that you are able to live into the Gospel of Christ and see other Christians not as your enemies, but as your fellow sisters and brothers.
Looking forward to the rest of the ancestors, but here's a major drawback of this video.
* - the lack of the Passover events (esp. the lamb's blood on the doorposts) prevents this video from helping pastors/teachers connect the Exodus to Jesus and the Lord's Supper.
This could have been a great resource for First Communion instruction as well.
Something to consider for the August official release

Thanks, but no thanks.
