This was how "TOM & JERRY" was usually introduced on CBS's Saturday morning schedule in 1965-'67 (minus the "CBS Color" bumper at the very beginning), and later used in syndication. There were at least three different variations of this opening title I know of, all with Eugene Poddany's original title music, and new animation by Tom Ray of Chuck Jones' production unit (who was working on their theatrical cartoons for MGM at the time).
Enjoyed watching both the A & B versions of this open. There's another version on youtube (with remastered sound) that shows the 1965 CBS Saturday morning "Tom and Jerry" open & close. [Note that it's listed on imdb as just "Tom and Jerry" (1965) without the word 'Show'.]
Anyone else notice the opening theme to "Tom and Jerry Tales" is very similar to this?

I know this opening was used until at least the 80s, because I saw this show after school when I was a child back then.

That had to have been Mel Blanc's "EEeeeeYOOOOW!!!" at :12 and :41.
Nice music Poddany arranged here. Compliments Scott Bradley's scores in the cartoons quite well.

As a 54 year old....this (CBS) opening is a fond fond memory!! Especially the faux "harp"-title-card!

That intro came from WPIX-TV with just the short version of the intro.
