@RandomDominoGuy We don't have any for sale, sadly; they're all either still in use making more videos (which you'll hopefully watch) or retired due to wear-and-tear and awaiting re-purposing. Please do watch all of our videos, though! :)
@RandomDominoGuy Thank you! This is the Revell 1/570 kit. It can be found at hobby shops and even department stores or craft stores like Michael's, or online. All the painting and assembly needs to be done; it's not assembled out of the box, and all molded in white. It's meant for display only and needs to be modified for sinking. Check out the website in the video description and our "[Model Titanic SPLITS] How It's Made" video for much more about how we build our model Titanics.
@FBfan477 None of our fleet is currently available for sale or for donation, sorry. :( We may do a giveaway on our Facebook page at some point in the future, however!
@FBfan477 We've retired this one and now mainly film videos with our 30" intact and 30" splitting Titanic models. Check out our channel page and the website in the vid description to see!
@Crintingnut The internal bulkheads are present, but in a different configuration. Check out the website in the video description to see interior photos of this and our other Titanic models!
@heathermillerdmz They built the bulk heads, and put weight in it, so it was pretty scientific, as all teh tabins etc. only slow down the sinking, but dont make it more accurate
@streetsurfer133 1/700 is pretty small - it's tough to say. Once the point of balance is reached, she's going down quickly no matter what. But if you seal up the stern very well so that air has a hard time getting out, she'll sink slower.
would you happen to know if model ships already built when you buy them can float on their own without an rc. if you could, that'd be great. the rock was downright crazy.
@DIGITALXxXDRAGON These Titanic models are made for display only, and are thus not weighted properly. They will capsize instantly if placed in water without any added weight within. Our Titanic models are all weighted with lead weights glued to the interior of the keel.
and prepare for a visit to the The Scottish Fisheries Museum, see the video links and the pull down links and you'll appreciate your visit much more! See the Model Boat Club's models on display when you visit the Museum!
U.Barschel,J.Möllemann,Heiner Gehring(author),M.Pflock(political activist),Tron(internet activist),Karl Koch(political/internet activist),Bernd Seiffert(human rights activist),Kirsten Heisig(author/judge),Fritz Bauer(persecutor Frankfurt Auschwitz processes). My brother Markus Bott was tortured 5.5 years by the German BND.I have recorded 450 h on video which ended in the legal system. He then was tortured 1.5 years under the "protection" of the "legal system“
How did you make the "Iceberg Damage", and after you recovered the model, did you repair the the "Icebeg Damage", and if you did how? And can a revell model float without any modifications?
@randomstuff1282 Thanks for the questions! We did the iceberg damage with a hot exacto knife, then painted some silver detail over the melted plastic. If you wanted a Revell Titanic (or any Titanic model) to float, you'd need to ballast it properly as we did with this one. There are lead sinkers glued into place along the bottom of the interior hull. If the berg damage wasn't there, the model would float just fine. Without that weight, though, it would capsize instantly.
@Rapidnadion I have 1 final question that I forgot to ask, Those 18 watertight compartments, were those also special modifications, or did they come in the set?
@shane5530 Built it. You cannot buy a model that will do this; only static display models are available. There are no sinking Titanics currently being sold, with the exception of the rare collectible editions. You must modify your own.
to do a perfect scale ... you'd need material that would react on a scale level of what the titanic was made with ... it would have to be perfect scale weight and inside would have to be built simular other wise its just going to do what it does sink at the front and back straight up ... which is some what accurate ... but it doesnt break in half which is impossible to recreate .... you cant recreate it because every little factor comes into play... and i think it will sink at scale time
@acrock21 Yep. We're not doing real science here or trying to aggregate data. Just fun to re-create the sinking as accurately as we can with the limited materials available.
@techguy123ify Yes - air escapes much too fast from this model. The larger Titanic model we sink has corrected this problem (see the link to it at the end of this video).
