@romanovdb The fantasy is not over. Harry Potter will live till the end of time. J.K did NOT quit writing... The Seventh book was the final book. She made it clear years ago. She had a story. It came to an end with the Seventh book.

I was working at a bookstore during the seventh book summer, and I told all my friends that I read it early, of course I didnt I would've been fired, possibly shot the way my supervisor was, but all my friends were bombarding me so I came up this elaborate story on how I thought it would go, I was totally wrong so My friend Libby hunted me down and slapped me so hard I had a bruise on my cheek for two weeks, o.0 :D oh well, it was still funny

Harry Potter 7 ending is good, but seems kind of convoluted when there is plenty of room to make an 8th installment that she has made very clear that she would like to write in the next five years, but the point is that she said it would not be centered around Harry much at all.
so my question is this? Now that she's finished writing probably one of the greatest literary phenomenons of our time, what's she gonna do next? Will she ever write again? and the tales of Beetle the Bard doesn't count, I mean non Harry Potter books. She certainly doesn't need too, she's set for life, but gotta wonder.

The talk with Dumbledore was in Harry's head, but it was real. Harry was in a place between life and death, and I think the baby was Voldemort. Remember Voldemort was also kinda unconsious when he hit Harry with the Avada Kedavra? I think he also went to that life and death place, but he was a baby instead.

Voldy shattered his soul in so many peaces he will never be able to die like anybody normal... good or evil. I could go a little deeper but you might get the idea. They didn't help the "baby" because it was just a little piece of the whole soul. Would have been pointless to try to "help".. not to mention he did not deserve such a thing.

he didn't die. Didn't you read the book? Harry was in a place between life and death and the place happens to be the platform 9 and 3 quarters. Dumbledore talked to him and then gave him a choice to die or be alive and save everyone else from Voldemort.

This is nuts. I just watched HP and HBP ...hmmm. I think I now see harry as a creep. He is still whining about being a lil orphan boy still after 6 yrs. Sheesh. He has stupidly loyal friends, he is doted on by all the adults except the bad ones, the little suck up even sticks it to a fellow Griffindor when he cheats to get Ron on the Quiddich team. After giving a big fairness speech. I think Draco dealing with his familys disgrace with quiet dignity and determination is easier to like.
One thing i don't really understand about this book is, correct me if I'm wrong, that Dumbledore said that Horcruxes can only be destroyed by something like the sword of griffindor, or basilisk venom ect. So my question is how come Voldemort simply firing the killing curse at Harry manage to destroy the horcrux?
they only said that it has to be destroyed beyond magical repair... and seeing as it was imparted into a living thing if it is killed it can not be repaired?
because it has to be something so deadly that there is no way anything could survive it, e.g the killing curse. also, as she explains, a horcrux is entirely dependent on its physical body. so when voldemort killed harry, the horcruxes physical body was destoyed and so it was destoyed too. avada kedavra could not be used on the other horcruxes because they were not living and so had to be destroyed in other ways(basalisk ect.)
I can't exactly remember what Dumbledore said but you use the sword or the venom to destroy OBJECTS, not human. So Harry is a wizard, a human, so the killing curse worked on him
When Voldermort tried to kill Harry when he was young he bestowed a part of his soul in to him, all of these pieces of soul called horkroxes(i donno how to spell) must be defeated in order to defeat Voldermort, He dosent actualy know that a horkrox is in Harry so when he attemps to kill him he just destroys the horcrox

During this period is when harry is able to find out the answers to the lingering questions he had on his mind since dumbledor's death in the previous book. since harry is a horcruex it is assumed that voldermort's soul dies due to the killing curse (the ugly baby crying) he himself has produced. harry soon "comes back to life" but dombledor does not.
I completely know what you mean. Particularly because it ended on such a sad note (Snape's story, I mean. And I will never get over Dobby's death. NEVER.) For a week I was just lost.
that's part true. When I read those books, I feel like I'm really at Hogwarts watching everything happen. Sometimes I really forget that the books are not real...they are just books. When the 7 book was finished, It's like my childhood was tore from me. Harry Potter will always always and always be my favorite.
No more sequels, it would destroy the fandom. But a prequel? Hogwarts, A History? Hell yes!

so my question is this? Now that she's finished writing probably one of the greatest literary phenomenons of our time, what's she gonna do next? Will she ever write again? and the tales of Beetle the Bard doesn't count, I mean non Harry Potter books. She certainly doesn't need too, she's set for life, but gotta wonder.

well what do you think the title should be? The whole 7 series is about Harry Potter and a topic he is fighting against or is in the middle of it. I think the titles are good.

The talk with Dumbledore was in Harry's head, but it was real. Harry was in a place between life and death, and I think the baby was Voldemort. Remember Voldemort was also kinda unconsious when he hit Harry with the Avada Kedavra? I think he also went to that life and death place, but he was a baby instead.

@hhyfeiugyf23583 The baby was the part of Harry that was also Voldemort, you know the whole horcrux thing? Voldy shattered his soul in so many peaces he will never be able to die like anybody normal... good or evil. I could go a little deeper but you might get the idea. They didn't help the "baby" because it was just a little piece of the whole soul. Would have been pointless to try to "help".. not to mention he did not deserve such a thing.

he didn't die. Didn't you read the book? Harry was in a place between life and death and the place happens to be the platform 9 and 3 quarters. Dumbledore talked to him and then gave him a choice to die or be alive and save everyone else from Voldemort.

This is nuts. I just watched HP and HBP ...hmmm. I think I now see harry as a creep. He is still whining about being a lil orphan boy still after 6 yrs. Sheesh. He has stupidly loyal friends, he is doted on by all the adults except the bad ones, the little suck up even sticks it to a fellow Griffindor when he cheats to get Ron on the Quiddich team. After giving a big fairness speech. I think Draco dealing with his familys disgrace with quiet dignity and determination is easier to like.

One thing i don't really understand about this book is, correct me if I'm wrong, that Dumbledore said that Horcruxes can only be destroyed by something like the sword of griffindor, or basilisk venom ect. So my question is how come Voldemort simply firing the killing curse at Harry manage to destroy the horcrux?

because it has to be something so deadly that there is no way anything could survive it, e.g the killing curse. also, as she explains, a horcrux is entirely dependent on its physical body. so when voldemort killed harry, the horcruxes physical body was destoyed and so it was destoyed too. avada kedavra could not be used on the other horcruxes because they were not living and so had to be destroyed in other ways(basalisk ect.)

I can't exactly remember what Dumbledore said but you use the sword or the venom to destroy OBJECTS, not human. So Harry is a wizard, a human, so the killing curse worked on him

When Voldermort tried to kill Harry when he was young he bestowed a part of his soul in to him, all of these pieces of soul called horkroxes(i donno how to spell) must be defeated in order to defeat Voldermort, He dosent actualy know that a horkrox is in Harry so when he attemps to kill him he just destroys the horcrox

dumbledore comes back in a sort of realm that harry enters once voldermort produces the killing spell on him. During this period is when harry is able to find out the answers to the lingering questions he had on his mind since dumbledor's death in the previous book. since harry is a horcruex it is assumed that voldermort's soul dies due to the killing curse (the ugly baby crying) he himself has produced. harry soon "comes back to life" but dombledor does not.
is that a good answer?

I completely know what you mean. Particularly because it ended on such a sad note (Snape's story, I mean. And I will never get over Dobby's death. NEVER.) For a week I was just lost.

that's part true. When I read those books, I feel like I'm really at Hogwarts watching everything happen. Sometimes I really forget that the books are not real...they are just books. When the 7 book was finished, It's like my childhood was tore from me. Harry Potter will always always and always be my favorite.
