  • It's called ambition. I like your ideas, but I think they don't connect to the topic. There is almost no present moment. Only the past and the future. As soon as you make sense of what's around you, it's already in the past.

  • dude, you're a fucking legend. good video! i like you!

  • but seriously i understand what u mean i do think about how other people have it worse n how i take everything for granted i dont know why i do that i just do

sometimes i wish i could go blind or not be able to walk only for a week just 2 give me some dissipline telling me why i should be happy living in the moment

2 realize im blessed to walk, see, laugh, talk

just blessed to be alive to this very moment...

  • the mexicans mite cross the boarder hahah that made me laugh

  • Great video! Yes, there is only now, the present moment. Improve on it if you can. Setting goals is helpful too, but live from the heart, for today. Buying cool things has nothing to do with living a full life or the beautiful person you are. Thankyou so much!

  • I'm 26 and I wish I knew about present moment when I was in high school, coz that's all I thought about was the next thing and fell into the "future trap" as I call it. I only realized this a couple of weeks ago... btw, this video is awesome.

  • great insight. how are you feeling now?

  • That was a wonderful video! Right on dude. It makes a big difference when the verbiage is coming out of direct personal experience instead of lip-service to the Truth=-)

  • I love eckhart tolle too ^^

  • be here, feel alive.

  • wow, cool video.

  • Emaho!

  • Someone likes Eckhart Tolle?

    Me too :)

  • you're wise beyond your years

  • Great video man

  • This is very intelligent. Sheryl crow said in a song "Its not getting what you want but wanting what you've got" It always rang true with me and now you sort of explained it. Thanks for this!

  • this is such a good vid, many many great points and it made me feel happier

  • Don't let anyone dissuade or discourage your thoughts on this. You are absolutely correct. What you now know took me 60 years to learn. Congratulations! And welcome to this ecstatic adventure of life. You are in total control of all of it. You have welcomed the ecstasy.

  • The communists are really scary whether you are in the present or not.

  • OK, I stumbled across one of your videos last night and I'm playing catch-up now... very cool message, I've been trying to get help to feel better about myself mentally but in reality, at some point I need to stop trying and BE well. Neat perspective. While I feel there is some responsibility for each of us to be ready for the future (I'm personally talking specifically about God), it's quite easy to concentrate on the mechanics of life and never live... Your perspective show mature thought -TNX

  • From the anxiety and isolation I have gotten bored quite alot, so I went with the flow of the boredom and then the awareness of all the thoughts dissolved the boredom.

Living in the moment strengthens patience and lessens the strife of having to achieve, achieving is great if it comes about at it's own pace though. I make the mistake of denying painful thoughts and feelings, but these are not so bad when you realize that they just come and go in the ever-present moment.

  • um i think someones been taking too many intro to pop philosophy hours, and sleeping too much. go eat something, in this present moment.

  • All of us are programmed that way my friend. You have a lot of wisdom for someone your age. Keep up the positive thoughts.

    Peace,

    David

  • @davidnc76 I dont think age really matters,I become aware of what hes saying at the age of 13,then I forgot about it,and at the age of 19 I was a complete idiot XD

  • good thought. I trying to stick that feeling to right now! because the now feeling is very important!!

  • I don't watch network news. Why? Conflict of interest from their corporate sponsors. They wont bite the hand that feeds them. It's not news anymore. It's infotainment.

  • Excellent video!

  • Fear is The Great Crippler. It can be brutally difficult to deal with. But the strength and optimism you show in this vid will hold you in good stead. Keep us posted!

  • Well said! The single line in your "About This Video" nails it: Stop getting ready to live, and live. This is a hugely important realization that many many people never achieve. The "so that I can get...so that I can get...so that I can get..." mentality inevitably leads to unhappiness. The old cliche is true: Life is not a destination; it is a journey. Not always an easy journey, but always one full of wonder and discovery. Treasure your awareness of this!

  • Before, when I was pretty and not depressed, I wanted clothes, good grades, blah blah blah..

I guess I've never realized that before. I've also thought being pretty meant you were immune to any troubles.. sigh =(

  • Yeah I feel like all I want is to be pretty and not depressed, but... oh, even then I still won't be happy. Ackk

  • great video! In this world it's all about how much stuff you can accumulate and how far you can get but people have to ask themselves are they really happy. I think in life you have to enjoy what you're doing and if you're just running the treadmill of life... that's just not very healthy. Great video! Thanks for this! :-)

  • Well, let's see.. I've been raised all my life and was just told the other day that I MUST live for the future. "Who cares about the present? You must prepare for the future."

And I was just incredulous.. how terrible.. :x Doesn't everyone say to live for the present? It's so hard to do, and I don't even know how to do it because it makes me scared because when I try to live in the present, I feel... nothing. ! ahhh

  • Nice... I am not religious at all but this somewhat Buddhist perspective is something I enjoy talking about with one of my few friends (she's a Buddhist).

I love Physics and Cosmology for some of the reasons you touch on here... it encompasses some of the dynamics of how we are all connected. I reckon if we all spent more time looking up at the stars all the unimportant things would fall away.

    Peace + Thank you.

  • Hi Pat. i think people (a country) with fear is easy to handle. We HAVE to stop that. The only one obligation is be HAPPY, HERE & NOW.Sometimes its hard to try it, Enjoy and live.Great words.Have a REALLY day. PEACE :)

  • That is it exactly, a populace kept in fear is much easier to manipulate. It is no accident that we are raised the way we are.
