@miserkatulle You probably mean "öttel arrébb", which means something like "move further by 5" in Hungarian (to make it even harder, it's in a dialect).
This one is absolutely the most enjoyable to watch, due to the fun of trying to understand how the sort works, but it's also the best dance and music so far. Great work.
The last step is an insertion sort. All the previous steps (with comparison of far-away positions) are done to minimize the number of comparisons in the final step (and thus reduce average complexity).
Big thank to Neumann János :) Ugye ugye... greeting from Hungary to all people here ^^

This is an incredible idea......pairing Hungarian folk dance with a sorting algorithm....though I like it :)
Azért azt ugye tudjátok, hogy őrültek vagytok, ugye? :)

Merge-sort with Transylvanian-saxon (German) folk dance, and quick-sort
with Hungarian (“Küküllőmenti legényes”) folk dance will be uploaded in few
days. We are developing a software tool that didactically exploits the six
dance-performances. This software will also be available soon.

Does anybody knows what the dancers are saying?
domingos79 10 months ago
@domingos79
(rough, literal translation)
ötös mehet: 5 can be started (literally: can go)
öttel arrébb: by 5 further/away (this is really hard to translate exactly)
hármas mehet: 3 can be started
hárommal arrébb: by 3 further
egyes mehet: 1 can be started
hej te szomszéd: hey you neighbour
