You obviously were severely beaten on the head with a frying pan during childhood.
Star Trek may be a tough show to watch if you're not 'into' it, it may be considered as "too sweet and idealised" or may have a lot of glitches, but crappy is way over the line. It has everything an SF fan would like - humour, intrigue, romance, politics, technology. Not that BSG doesn't, mind you. They're just served in a different sauce.
DS9 was brilliant. All the creative staff/writers in DS9 work or have worked on BSG, Carnivale,4400, and Dead zone. In fact, there are striking parallels between the themes of both DS9 and BSG. If you like BSG then there is no reason for you not to like DS9, and vice-versa
Moore did far more than write Klingon episodes. He is responsible for arguably some of the best and most dark episodes during DS9's run. He cut his teeth on this show and took what he learned to BSG.
Well he wrote alot of the teleplay only, not the actual stories.Episodes he did write fully were Defiant The Die is Cast Sons of Mogh Paradise Lost Looking for Par'Mach in all the wrong places Solderiers of the Empire You are cordially invited Waltz Change of Heart Valiant Take Me out to the Holosuite Once More unto the Breach Inter Arma Enim Silent Leges Strange Bedfellows Tacking into the Wind
He is also mostly responsible for In the Pale Moonlight although he is uncredited (DS9 often would not give credit to its regular writers, letting the guest writers get the onscreen props). The original story for ItPM is much different than the dark story Moore came up with.
fuckin awsome!!

BSG doesn't.

Would you be so kind as to elaborate on this issue?

I assume he meant the new series isn't better than DS9 in which case i thoroughly agree!
I do like this video though!

You know that Ron D Moore wrote DS9 too, right? They're very similar shows.
skywaterlv 3 years ago
Well he was executive producer. He wrote most of the Klingon episodes and a few others. But yeah he did have a big say in how things were done

You forgot Rocks and Shoals as well.

But agree with you, Ronald Moore learnt all the stuff he did on BSG from Star Trek DS9 and to some extent TNG

@Hibbs4Prez I knew there was a reason I liked both BSG and DS9...
