Hi. I'm a (nihon) jiu jitsu ka, just attained ikkyu (brown belt). I've never done aikido, but your videos have really struck a nerve with me. The whole thing about the technique being a function of your connection...
Anyway, I've tried a few things with my partner, and it's fun stuff - but we keep breaking the connection, probably because our training isn't aimed the same way as aikido. I keep thinking there has to be a way to gain from your stuff without throwing away all I've learned. Thanks.
@MrPinoy91 It is my experience, when tranquility meets rage, it can be even easier to stop attack as the two feelings are so different. All rage seeks to find peace ultimately.Harmonious Ki is irresistable.
Wow, a sensei who seems completely honest. That alone is awesome.

hello sensei.! ;]
haven't watched your videos in a while. hows your training and studies of aikido going.
any new break throughs or ideas.
i have a question? can turning your ki accepting and benevolent really stop an attacker.
just because he doesn't feel he needs to attack doesn't mean he still wont. i mean thats the thing with chaos.. it doesn't have purpose.
i mean doesn't anger and rage blind you when your in a fight.. or can a flood of Ki really create a harmonic connection.
