music is as great as it always has been....it's just these days, you really have to search for it. Bacj in the day, there may have been a small handful of bands worth a listen on such staples as MTV and/or terrestrial radio and now there really isn't as you have to do some ground work to find the good stuff as oppose to merely flicking on the radio or TV. It's a shame really.

If I understand the situation correctly when Rage Against the Machine got the christmas no1 this year it turned out they were signed to a label that Cowell is either affiliated with or works with or owns, something like that. Point is that massive show of "rebellion" still went right into his pocket.

Jello Biafra is very anti-Freemason. Shriners, a high level of Freemason, appear on the front album cover of the third album relased by Alternative Tentacles called 'Frankenchrist'. The Shriners are the guys in the little cars and they are driving in an annual parade. DK lyrics are littered with Freemasonic references such as "Cops and Mason Businessmen are exempted from the ovens" - 'Shrink', Bedtime For Democracy. P.S. my people are from Buttervant!

I'm from Ireland myself chuzz, there is allot of freemasonry here. While things might be a little different today, there is definitely an undercurrent of elitism. Members are generally 'upstanding members of society'. Good career and what not. You actually need to be checked out. My brother inlaw was refused membership because his father had a minor conviction. As DK555 points out below, lot of cops, and businessmen looking out out for one another.
