  • great vid mate my staff love to do that also

  • hehê_àñy_gÙys_wãñt_tø_chÅt_wÌth_mê

  • get in there love these dogs in the right way friends ,,,thanks

  • Im sure these dogs are treated well. They must be strong and fit to pull the most weight. Its like humans when they lift weights, its enjoyable. Its not like they are working in a sweat shop.

  • doesnt sound like nickleback

  • can a great dane participate?

  • top video!

  • can amstaff participate ?

  • If I wanted to enter a wolf-dog into competitions like this, would he be allowed, or are only specific breeds able to compete?

  • im sorry but this seems like a bit of a fail. i respect that the dogs get exercise, but i just don't think that dog weight pulling is very exciting. seems like a stupid hobby lol

  • These are'nt lap dogs or little poodles.

They are AmBulls, pits etc,, all of whom seem to love and enjoy what they're doing. Not just working dogs, they're happy working dogs.

Anyone who seems to think this is cruel, knows absolutely nothing about dogs, instead of commenting about something they clearly know nothing about, I suggest they do a little research on dogs & weight-pulling.

Not much different too:- Husky dogs pulling sleds.

  • turkish kangal pulls a tractor man that dogs weak

  • well to be fair he was pulling with his neck.

  • yeah this dosent seem to be cruel at all i mean i think its cruel to keep your dog in the house all day and never take it for walks like alot of people do cuz they cant handle them but then again you never no what happens to the dogs when they get back home do ya

  • besotted

  • The dogs would be WORKING for their food, since they are a WORKING breed

    it only makes sence.

  • Am pretty sure someone has already thoght of this but pitbull rescues CAN provide their own energy by simply runnig them on treadmills hooked up to generators or something somewhere along those lines, you get the idea,

therefore saving money ang helping protect the invironment, not to mention putting a good hand on the other end of the leash. Dedicated to Cyrus, miss you, and I will always love you

  • you'd have to feed the dog. No such thing as a free lunch.

  • @insanerun~I actually wouldn't mind excersing them a certain amount a day at a shelter that way, specially if it saved them some money. Fighting isn't work. It's criminal activity. Then again, without supervision it could easily turn abusive.

  • I got a chow/black lab that would pull 4 times any of these dogs.. but theyre incredible looking creatures thats for sure :)

  • uh no. your dog would get pwnt

  • @olddirtycraig Enter him in a pull then!

  • im sorry but no your dog wouldnt the other dogs would pwn him =]

  • una chimba

  • The pit-bull is a great dog - the mastiff breeds should be much stronger - Rottwieller, Dogo Argneinto, Dogue de Bordeaux and the other Mastiffs.

Why are Peta complaining? Seems harmless enough!

  • If you've got a problem with weight pulling competition you should go check out some dog fighting pix then you can tell us how mean weight pulling is. I'd rather see a dog in a weight pulling competition over dog fighting anyday.

  • @hye288 Never give a fool fuel to put on your own fire !!!!

  • i totaly agree, in a couple inside reports i heard that some dog fighters are switching to pulling competitions because it isnt illegal and they cant get busted. I would rather see them used for pulling competitions than fighting as well

  • I believe they pull in weight catagories, working class such as st. bernard and newfoulands don't pull in the same catagory as pitbulls. There is nothing wrong with pulling when its legit and legal........That was the purpose of the dog before we used them as pets.

  • a rottweiler would in easy

  • Of course a bigger and heavier dog could pull more weight but i think APBT and Amstaf are the strongest pound for pound breeds. Please proof me wrong if not.

  • no, the world record is held by an apbt. 5,9t and i heard some pitbull pulled more.

  • Comment removed

  • an english mastiff would win it all no problemo :P

  • There is nothing wrong with legitimate pulling competitions, that have rules against drug and stimulant use. I have an older pitbull, she's about eight, and I hook her up to the stroller to pull the kid around when we go for walks. If I don't, she doesn't get enough exercise, and destroys the house on accident trying to run and play. She loves it. She's too old now to do competitions, but if she wasn't, I would def enter her. She would love all of the exercise, and the attention!

  • Awsome pictures, and just FYI alot of dogs consider this play, its fun for them. So PETA please, know your role and shut your mouth.

there is no abuse going on here.

  • i swear animals have more rights then people do these days fuckin rights activists stop worrying about the dogs the country is falling apart

  • since they use harnesses there is a significantly low chance of the dogs getting hurt

these owners actually care about there dogs unlike dog fighter owners

dogs have emotions too and like the feelin of accomplishment

plus if the dog was feelin hurt or about to be injured, its owner would stop it from pullin if the dog didnt stop on its own

    but i appreciate your concern

  • im not opposed to weight pulling because my dog loves to pull, but couldnt something that heavy hurt them? i mean the strain its putting on them because they want to pull it but couldnt they hurt themselves really bad?

  • @vronald14 With all things come common sense!! To have a successful weight pull dog you must first get them used to the idea of pulling with no weight. Then you add weight in a manner to build up the dogs strength & endurance!!! No man or dog is simply one day just going to walk out from the audience and enter competion of any sort!! Does that make sense to you!!! Also weight pulling is structured to work with a dog's natural ability!! Obviously do not try a marathon without conditioning!

  • Well yah that makes sense. I'm not stupid, thank you very much. But still, that amount of weight just seems really heavy, even if the the dog is accustomed to it.

  • Can poodle compete? They may not win, but they'd love every second of trying!

  • you should hook a kurdish kangal up to one of these sleds. it probably wouldnt even realize it was attached to anything they're so strong.

  • lol a kurdish kangal ahah pits are about as strong

  • these dogs are working dogs doing what they are meant to. I guess next they will say it's not ok for my pit to drag my saint bernard around the front yard.

  • aint nothing wrong with a dog pull competition thas not animal cruelty in any means .... i feel bad for the dogs people get and leave in their backyard on a chain now thats cruel grow up u sick animal activest asses the dogs love this sport and these dogs get treated VERY WELL!!!

  • fuck sake man. this is not cruelty. this is fine look at the dogs they are cared for!. for them this is fun. seen the quipment its desighenmd to be comfy for them! not ot hurt them and there is always a vet on sight to check the dogs afterword. so stop busting ya balsl u stupid animal cruelty activists read ti up dickmuchsed!

  • For the people complaining about the cruelty to these animals better do some research before bumping the gums. These dogs love pulling. This is work for them. This is a time where they can be focused and do their job. Plus, they are spent after wards. They are tired and more easy to train and they get along better with other dogs. Another form of socializing. All of the dogs are in good condition. Look at the coats and their physiques. Their owners are taking great care of their animals.

  • I agree...People that do not know anything about this sport should keep their mouths shut...

Both my dogs love weightpull...after a succesfull pull they wag their tails and you can tell they're happy...when i take the harness out from the trunk of my car they stop playing and come running back...my male dog even sticks his head into the harness, because he knows what we are about to do...:-)

    Weightpull for ever! :-)

Ps. excuse my bad spelling and grammar, I'm fron denmark...

  • Call Dr.Phil U sickass U do realize everything u do comes back 2 u 3 fold? They special treatment for perves like u n the slammer LMAO!

  • i raped dr phil and his cats last night

  • Does your mommy know about your issues?

  • good to see some people keep their dogs fit

  • wtf is wrong with you. you sick basterd ! why would you do that to any animal ? its just a fucking contest ! dogs shouldnt go through that at all . people like you make me sick !!!!!

  • Ok every body, listen up: SMEGHAT is a guy that is craving for some atention so lets all write something cheerful to him so he can stop feling like god´s little mistake. There there buddy, don´t feel bad for being a manerless creature, one day it will all be over for you.

  • your right there sad faces are all like

=( i wnna yank off every hair on the owners head, make a rope with it, cut open their belly, take out their liver, cook it and give it to the dog to feast on, then sew him back up with his own hair

  • Dont be stupid. I bet your dog is treated just like a human cause that is just what a dog needs... Dogs feel a since of accomplishment after the pull and thus not much different then most other sport dogs. I guess skijoring/sledding is cruel as well. Plus dogs have been doing this longer than you and I have been around and that is why there are specific breeds for the task.

  • all those dogs have sad faces...

    like this =(

  • why sad faces? these dogs enjoy the sport of weight pulling, my old pitty used to pull me around on my bike sometimes for exercise she loved it! This sport is not cruelty at all, the harness prevents them from damage and even if they do whine or act like there hurt the owner will stop them and see whats wrong, these dogs are treated very well, id rather see these dogs in pulling competitions than in dog fights. If you dont know anything about the sport dont leave bad comments!

  • It is like saying that powerlifting or Olympic weightlifting is cruel to its competitors - people and animals are genetically programmed to enjoy certain kinds of exercise.

  • Btw, since you understand the sport I was wondering how one knows which dogs are meant to pull with their necks and which should hold the weight with their mouths - I've heard there is a difference between breeds, which would make sense based on large differences in dog musculature.

  • honestly i dont know that much about it, but 7 of my friends compete and they tell me a bit about it, there dogs pull with the harness, and they never mentioned anything about pulling with there mouths, so sorry i cant awnser that, i just know for a fact these dogs arent abused and they love doing this

  • i agree with ya.. if the dogs didnt wanna pull they simply wouldnt do it... and my rottie loves pullin stuff.. i dont know much about this competition deal but seems like a great workout and year round training "meaning healthy dogs" but anyway i tied a rope around a used 33inch superswamper mud tire and my rottie drags it around all damn day one end of the yard to the other

  • this is torture. i hope the owners get thier balls cut off and fed to their children

  • how is it torture, you no nothing about dog weight pulling, breeds like bull terriers, pitbulls, boxers, american bulldogs etc love weight pulling its good for then physically it keeps them healthy and uses up unwanted aggression and most of all they actually enjoy it, it gives them a purpose unlike other dogs, dont comment on something you know nothing about.

weight pull is very professional and the animals safety always comes first!

  • wtf i dont see no kangal oruspu

  • I think pit bulls look wayyyyy better without thier ears cropped, mine does at least

  • ud look better with urs chopped off to, bastard

  • He said they look better without their eyes chopped off!! CAN YOU NOT READ!!!!!!!

  • Dude that Kangal wasn't pulling that tractor with it's neck. If u watch the vid at 5 to 7 secs into it, the tractor stops, and starts rolling again by itself..

  • AW THATS NOT NICE TO MAKE THEM PULL THAT

  • No one makes a dog pull. If you touch your dog during a pull it is called a foul. Three fouls and you are out! You start you puppy out with a harness and get them used to that!! Then you begin to add a minimal amount of weight and build up the dog's strength & endurance! Simple common sense and slight mechanical knowledge should tell you this!! Does an athlete go to the olympics and compete from being a couch potato no! Or are you one of those hell bent on killing these dogs as a favor to them?

  • random irish setter at 2:00 hahaha. very cute dogs. makes me wonder how some people could ever fight their dogs, it's disgusting. the pits are such loveable dogs.

  • nice wee dogs but this is nothing compared to the KURDISH KANGAL pulling a tractor with its neck..

    thnx for the vid

  • yeah but kangals are four times the size of these

  • year right there huge dogs

  • kangals are gay

  • yea there not the best dogs but there ait. a pitty and a rotty is beta

  • @motoxgrl83 I was just wondering if you know anything about these competitions...i have a 6 month old pit bull and I plan on getting her weight training soon, but I do not have papers on her. She is all pit but she was passed to a couple of people before i found her and took her in for good..She's in good shape and I was just wondering if you could give me some feedback on if I can get her into pull competitions or not. Thanx alot

  • @Stephaniegizette

Yes, your dog can pull without "papers", but she needs to be spayed and you need to apply for UKC LP registration.

  • bollshit

  • I see some pups I recognize.

  • Sweet. We don't get snow pulls down here. People love their rails.
