The SSB series got this right. People want incredible games with incredible characters (like Legend of Zelda and Mario) and want to play them against each other. Games like Halo at least attempt originality, but the COD series is a joke. Please, stop buying crappy games like COD and support Nintendo. They actually make games that have high quality and content.

@octobrick81 I agree with you that SSB is a brilliant concept for gaming, and they did a GREAT job creating it (espeically the music!) but don't bash COD like that. You can't HARDLY compare the two...they're completely different from eachother. COD is a first person shooter game, intended to be realistic (and COD's realisticness is pretty darn amazing) it's a game designed after history, and it's fun to play the famous historic battles in the older versions...

@tkmartindale I'm a total fan of violent video games because they take the realistic aspect out of it. I'm not the biggest fan of COD because I don't think it is very respectful to want to relive some of the most gruesome and horrific acts that have happened in history. I understand the triumph for the greater good, but some people misinterpret games like that and glorify the killings rather than what the killings stood for. I have no issues with their graphics that is for sure.

@octobrick81 Oh, I see...I understand your point. You're correct, but then you could also take that the other way around...replaying it realisticly can stop people from taking our bloody history too lightly. However, to go completely against myself, I agree with you that it can be disrespectful in some ways...the problem with it being so closely taylored to real events is that people probably DO take it lighter than they should because of the game...

@octobrick81 ...the game doesn't come even CLOSE to showing just how gruesome/horrific war really is, which gives people the wrong opinion. But then again on the other hand, it's not supposed to be a history lesson, and neither should it show how bad war is (or no one would play it) As long as people don't get the wrong ideas, it's perfectly okay for games like that to be historic. And I mean, there's no REAL people in it, so it isn't disrespecting dead people.

@tkmartindale MW2 IS NOT REALISTIC...NUKES WOULD EXPLODE BEFORE RUSSIA COULD MAKE A FULL INVASION...there now i got your attention...an urban battle would not take place on a rooftop..you wouldn't be running around dodging death as a soldier...FALS are not only semi automatic...Nothing is modern about a lever action shotgun from the late 1800s Dual welding guns wouldn't happen...nor do snipers "quick scope" or "no scope" nor do snipers run around with machine-pistols...COD is not realistic okay?

@supercrapnstuff11 dude, first of all, I get email notifications, so you don't need to "get my attention", and if I wasn't supremely interested in arguing on this specific point, I would simply ignore you anyway as people who use all caps generally annoy the crap out of me. (no offense intended) Second of all, I wouldn't know because I've never even played MW2. and another thing, lets get the intended definition of "realistic" straight, because we're using it in different ways...

@supercrapnstuff11 ...I mean yeah, soldiers don't generally go around respawning either. When I say realistic though, I'm speaking graphics-wise, not historically accurate. (if they made it like a real battle, it would be rated X for crying out loud) Their point is not to freak people out, it's to let people have fun playing the game. (with REALISTIC GRAPHICS :D ) and please, the noscopers are just retards trying to prove they've accomplished something to balance the fact that they have no life.

@supercrapnstuff11 but yah, I agree with you that the gameplay and the weapons are not always the most realistic (which is fine!), but the graphics are better than any other game I've ever seen. and that's all that I meant by realistic....COD IS realistic okay? ;)

@tkmartindale Well the senerios aren't realistic...we'd know it was a nuke before it got to DC...we've might have even taken care of it by then...Price would serve like a billion years in prison... a random gorge would not covinently have a little ramp at the end to let you jump across it with a snowmobile...its only ment to look cool

@tkmartindale But Wars aren't dramatic...you fight, usually for a lied/unknown reason... and you get your head taken off by a sniper or something...or maybe you check a hole an find an IED...and boom. Your dead!

@octobrick81 ...SSB on the other hand, is a fun dueling game. You get to play as all the classic nintendo characters, which totally makes it epic. Mario is a classic that EVERYONE should play. Regardless, they both are fun epic games IN THEIR OWN WAY. You can't put one above the other like that. COD is probably the best of it's genre, just as SSB is the best of the marios. (in my opinion) So why on earth can't you support both?! Broaden your horizens!!

@tkmartindale I like Halo. It isn't a problem with shooter style video games. I played the 007 games as well. But the adventure in the games is what made them awesome too. I don't much like to play a story line of a game about a war where people really died. The fake violence and fake deaths are put in the fantasy realm of my mind. Again, just for me. I have no problem with others who like COD or other realistic war games
