It's a shame they changed the theme of the ride. Universal seems to be changing all of their "staple" rides... no more Kong, Hanna Barbera. This was my favorite ride in Orlando, but I guess the child minds that run Universal can't stand a good thing.

One of the things I always loved about this ride was that when you got in the DeLorean, the time display showed the current time and date for "Present".
why did they have to get rid of this ride it looks awesome. I went last year and I was so Pissed off when this ride wasn't there. Why couldn't they get rid of ET instead thats a good Movie but not a great ride.

So yes in the original that biff is in, the flux cap is in the back, but in the newer models they are obviously in the front. BTTF NOOB just got schooled!

Disney parks have a far larger percentage of kids than adults, Universal is the complete opposite. Lets just be realistic about this for a second....BTTF was only taken from us so that it was cheaper to build the Simpsons. Twister and Earthquake should have gone looooooong before this epic ride. I suppose the only good news is that there are now rumours for a second ride!

Supposedly, when this was shot, someone left a coffee cup near the clock tower model and nobody realized it until it was too late. So where's this cup? I don't see it!
It has all the videos from the queues too in great definition. It's amazing! It also has a lot of videos that I didn't notice and believe me, I rode it a good 30(ish) times

I was at Universal at the time of trials before this ride opening up officially, back in '93
I could not have been more fortunate not knwoing anything about it and just hearing over the P.A. that they would opening the ride up for a couple of hours.
I almost headed that queue and was in for the best ride of my life.
Heading back to the States next month but Universal won't be the same without this mighty ride there.
@DevilMaster I didn't decide anything. That was mostly the decision of the theme park. The truth is this ride was dull and outdated and needed a refresh. I happen not to like "indoor rides", so the matter is moot.

Was so excited to find out the bluray set that came out yesterday not only has the ride but its D-box enabled so You can actually ride it in your home if you have D-Box equipment.

The Simpson ride sux balls that's one of failures of universal I feel so srry about unsiversal being judge all because if that dumass simpson ride. I use to love universal cuz of all the bad ass rides from bad ass movie like back to the future very nostalgic. But now they fucked it all up wit the Simpson ride. I don't like universal anymore becuz of that ride.

What amazed me about this ride was how real it felt WITHOUT using an actual rollar coaster track or rail system.

I was at Universal at the time of trials before this ride opening up officially, back in '93
I could not have been more fortunate not knwoing anything about it and just hearing over the P.A. that they would opening the ride up for a couple of hours.
I almost headed that queue and was in for the best ride of my life.
Heading back to the States next month but Universal won't be the same without this mighty ride there.

@DevilMaster I didn't decide anything. That was mostly the decision of the theme park. The truth is this ride was dull and outdated and needed a refresh. I happen not to like "indoor rides", so the matter is moot.

The future bit looks spectacular. Makes me wish the future looked exactly like that. Neon lights, Pepsi Perfect, Holomax theater, Texaco Havoline, what more could you want.

Was so excited to find out the bluray set that came out yesterday not only has the ride but its D-box enabled so You can actually ride it in your home if you have D-Box equipment.

I don't think Universal would ever bring this back, it's just too dated compared to The Simpsons. But hey, maybe they'll give us a more up-to-date Back to the Future ride, like what Disney just did with the Star Tours ride.
