just to let you guys no i was having the same problems so i decided to find a diff firmware (from a google search ) rather than the megauploads site an it worked 1st time wich makes me think megauploads has files missing in the files as the 1 i just got is a bigger file size an works on my 3gs 3.1.3

i upgraded to 3.1.3. I downloaded the 3.1.2 firmware and I get the code 1015. So I guess basically you cant really get out of 3.1.3 on the iphone. I have done this about 3 times with the restore 3.1.2 and also i tired 3.0. I just get into recovery mode. So I guys I guess all I can say is wait until there's a jailbreak for the iphone 3g 3.1.3

Your using the wrong file if it says that Turcota. Find a 2G 3.1.2 Firmware and try that. Vice Versa is using that already. Use 3G 3.1.2.

i did it once i was on 3.1.2 from 3.1.3 yesterday.. i jailbroke my iphone 3gs with blackra1n after the downgrade i did, then i restarted my device.. and it went to recovery mode... i was a noob and i didnt know that i could bypass this ''recovery stuck'' with pwntools so i went to itunes and recover and upgrade again to latest version (3.1.3) and now im trying to do it again and i cant... im suck a fucking noob!!

Apple is no longer signing off on 3.1.2 restore files. This means that if you have 3.1.3 installed, you can only restore your IPhone/Touch/Whatever with 3.1.3. This is why you get the compatibility error. Basically you are screwed until someone jailbreaks 3.1.3.

COMPATIBILITY FIX : The problem is that you guys are downloading the wrong firmware. Second generation and first generation ITouches/Ipods do are not supported with the firmware version 3.1.2 However, if u need to downgrade from 3.1.3 you can simply download 3.0 and go from there. I think 3.0 is jailbreakable with blackra1n
