  • Sorry. Forgot to mention that I'm referring to the second piece, South Wind.

  • Can anyone tell me where Pat is grabbing the low G at 3:07? If this is DADGAD, the only possibility is the fifth fret, sixth string. But he doesn't look like he's anywhere near there. Appreciate it.

  • I'll always remember the guitar workshop Pat gave at the the first Arkansas Acoustic Festival in Conway, AR. It was a memorable experience. Thanks to Pat and the organizers for a great time!

  • Thanks Pat-always such a pleasure to listen!

  • Wunderschöne Lieder wunderschön gespielt. Absolut Klasse!

  • Bitch' has Talons.

  • I remember you fixing my cerwin-vega speaker in the back shop on north 3rd. Now look at ya. Great job. What's next?

  • Very good Pat I like that tune..I am proud to have you as a friend and a picking buddy. I have about 41 tunes on youtube. I need to have a better way to get them on there you know a better sound. I go by KyThumb. Or just my name Bill Futrell. You sound great my friend. Your buddy....Bill Futrell

  • Enjoy your style ! Way to go!

  • Bravo!!!

Where can I find (download) the printed music or tab for these musical compositions?

  • What model Taylor does Pat use?

  • he is playing with his 514ce

  • Such a "simple" tune but he plays it so well and with heart and soul, absolutely amazing, soothing to the psyche

  • Actually your both right...

  • so does it have 2 titles or is the name "the south-western wind" :p

  • The second song is called "The West Wind"

  • No, the second song is called "The South Wind".

  • I believe this song is titled "Moran's Return" go do a search.

  • Very nice playing. Are we related? Contact me, let's find out.

    Wade Kirtley

  • tip: add &fmt=18 to the URL for better video quality ;)

  • The tab for both songs is included in a DVD by Pat Kirtly, available from Stefan Grossman's Guitar Workshop, Inc., which you can google to find the URL. Once there, search under DVD Guitar Lessons and browse by category Celtic and Instructor Pat Kirtley. All the songs on this DVD are in DADGAD. The songs are not difficult to finger, but to get the ornaments and that incredible flawless tone on each every note....well, have fun.

  • Therein lies the real trick to playing guitar!

  • where can i find tabs for this??

  • wow, he is good

  • Wow

  • Beautiful.

  • Beautiful music and a very fine guitar.
