@dedpxl Yeah, they're regular NES controllers (I saw your other comment). They're special black controllers made for the NES TV and were made in very small quantities. They were sold separately from the TV, so you aren't always going to find them together. They're pretty slick to be quite honest. The TV and controllers go real well together.
@TheKannyBus I wasn't exactly prepared for it to be so well taped together. I was just lucky enough to have had the wire cutters handy. Glad I could do something for you, though =P
Does anybody have any clue how much these are worth? I got one at a pawn shop for 5 bucks and I only saw one auction on Ebay for $75, no way to tell if that's a legitimate price because nobody is bidding on it.
@cliffburton333 For $5, you got a steal. I've been watching them for a while now, and the majority have sold for $40 to $60. I got both of mine for $45/each shipped. In the year I've had the TV + Controllers, I've seen less than 12 controllers listed. I wouldn't pay more than $50/each in pristine condition, but that's just me. If you're looking to sell your controller, just send me a PM.
@kuroichaos the one I got is pretty banged up, it looked like it had been sitting in a basement for a while, but I cleaned it as much as I can and everything still works. I don't think I'll be selling it any time soon since I am a collector myself haha.
@RunTitan09 Other than they're incredibly rare and are cosmetically different from a regulare NES controller, they're really not all that special. Paint can go a long way, but it's not going to get you the same quality style. The design on the controller panel is also different, as is the text. They were only made to go with the Sharp 19SV111/19SC111 TV's, which had a production time of 14 months combined. They are one of the hardest pieces of NES hardware to find in good condition, like the TV
@njirishmikey No, there's a specialized remote for the TV that does that. These are definitely 100% original and authentic Sharp NES Game Television controllers.
honestly how much did you pay in total for the tv and the controls???/ i got my first sharp with four controls for $290 even and shipped, my second was a little more but better chassy surface. love the hiding bottle of alcohol too lol i made a vid of my two just for you and the other dude seeing how you were complaining you dont see enough of them lol
@xxasshediesxx I Paid $75 for the TV, and $40/each for the controllers. Not bad considering they're starting to go back up in price. The TV came with some regular controllers and Pacman. I'll have to check your video out too.
@xxasshediesxx Also, great eye spying the bottle of alcohol behind the TV. I had just cleaned all of the games sitting next to the TV. I had just met up with a friend I hadn't seen in a year so we picked a handful of our favorite games and had some fun.
I didn't know there was a Sharp NES TV but I knew they released the Sharp C1 Famicom TV in Japan. You got yourself a rarity there! Do they have the same blinking problem the regular NES consoles have?
@Soukyugurentai Some do, though it can be repaired the same way as a regular NES. Mine just needs clean cartridges and maybe a movement of the cart to get it to work. It's a great system.
omg dude! as soon as i get one everyone strive for this tv, now i have two in mint condish and four of the controllers, honestly how rare can the be, i see yours is lacking the doors too...props on still having the side sticker though lol
@neckshredder1 It's quite slick. I'll get the video of the TV up today if I don't fall asleep first. Pulling an all nighter to reset my sleep schedule. Glad you liked the glimpse so far.
@nathanallan1 Not quite, still need a door for the game bay, and a remote for the TV. I've heard rumors of an electronics website that makes after market ones, so I'll have to check into it.
So what's the story behind them, did they originally come with the TV-NES system?

@cliffburton333 Even if it's a little rough, for $5 you've still got a nice piece of hardware. Grats on the find!

Whats so cool about them? They're just a different color you can paint a original NES controller black

Hey Now.
FYI these aren't actually the Sharp controlers.
The originals have a button on the remote to switch between TV & Game.

@mgs4isepic That's just background music. I do have Mario 3 running on the TV in the background, but its muted.
