I don't understand a single comment here. Can someone please give me some detailed explanation of these broadcasts in laymans terms, to me, someone who is completely unfamiliar with ANYTHING to do with number stations or short wave radios. Thanks.
I have no idea what is going on here. Something about broadcasts to spies.
@xDuBx420x It is a way of sending encrypted messages to agents operating in other countries. They broadcast a message on a specific frequency at a preset time that usually consists of a block of numbers that, ostensibly, the receiving agent then decodes for a message.
I'm not sure how this fellow plans to decrypt as when correctly used, one time pads are pretty much invulnerable to analysis.
awesome.. how do you interface your radio receiver with your computer? also i was thinking on doing automatic speech recognition on radio frequencies, if i manage to get the right hw, and then release the source..
With this one i use a ICOM IC-R9500 that ive had a TOS link fitted into it
for the sound
its very easy to link your radio to computer as long as it has at least a headphone plug then just get a cable with 2 male ends one for radio and then into the mic input of your computer
even if it dont have a headphone plug you can just put the radio next to the computer mic
or if your handy with soldering just take a head phone cable and wire into the radio speaker
wait, how is RDFT easier to find? The only Windows program I've seen do it is DIGITRX and it crashes constantly. Google has been NO help in finding alternatives. D:
Well shoot, if EasyPal can do RDFT, that solves my problem in a nutshell. It's a similar interface and much less crash-prone, with actual updates these days. I'll have to look into it, thanks!

I am new to these digital modes and did not realize these were used for private key encryption until recently.
I can't even get into my email account as of late. One among several reasons to use Radio instead of the Internet.
Keep up the good work Sir.

The russains have been useing MFSK-20 for some time now but only a handfull of decode programs can read them and not a cheap toy to
the Cuban's have now use RDFT data but sad to say im out of range for that to decode but much more easy to find
thanks for the comment

i think a program called EasyPal can do the RDFT mode to
its been some time since i last try as i cant pic up the cuban RDFT
i say its easier to find as the MFSK-20
freq change every month and year. and the cuban RDFT ones have been at the same times and days for years
