  • I often try to manage the thing with colored smoke, was not successful. Good work!

  • @snezzzen KCN is a magician with the chems! the coloursystem he developed is just awsome, one of a kind!

  • @snezzzen Cheers mate, good to see you back...!!!

  • @O3Cl Hello Kickthecat!! yea, it´s a feeling like a coming home for me. And of course I wasn´t able to improove my english grammar, haha. :-)

    Later I write you a "big" PM....R-man

  • Did You use Potassium Chlorate(KCIO3)? And Solvent pink dye?

  • @Heliman96 I used potassium chlorate, flour, dextrin and rhodamine dye.

  • it looks kinda purplr in my eyes

  • @RoyalZebraGirl The hotter it gets, the more purple-grey it goes.

  • Spot-on mate, they were the only suitable containers I could find that wouldn't be melted or blown open.

  • Good stuff!!

  • Thanks mate. :)

  • cool cant wait to to it fly

  • I'm still working out the details of it, but soon hopefully... :D

  • you should do one on a parchute shell

  • I've already got the 'chute and small canister for the comp... Great minds think alike... ;D

  • looks like a drop zone for pinko guys.lol!Great color mate got a try one but looks and sounds pretty complicated for me.5*

  • They're not complicated mate, I'm just trying to find the best way of getting a huge amount of smoke quickly. They're fairly messy though, lol.

I was half expecting someone to parachute in though, lol. ;D

  • Very nice colour, i would enjoy a pm on the how to;) 5* and a cold one!.lol

  • Crack open a cold one and I'll PM ya... ;D

  • Its cracked, consumed and filtered trough the kidney already, lol! im enjoying the pm now, thx Si

  • No problem mate :D

  • cool. lasts quite long

  • Thanks, My next trial should be better :D

  • a very slow burn mate,

there is a high volume output, when it picks up!

haha, pink trees, thats a new one for the documentary channels!

  • This test was mainly for the can integrity and to make sure it didn't just explode. Once I can get it to dump it's contents in 20-30 secs, it'll be sweet...

  • ahh that explains the long distance away from the casing! very wise!

yeah a little bit of tweaking here and there, and itll be great!

    it can only get better!

  • Thanks, I'm not a great fan of metal casings, but for these it seems to work best. I'm going for a multi-cored grain design with a different arrangement of vents for the next try :D

  • yeah, well it has to contain, the pressures, and the temperature, so i dont think there is any other way around that.

That sounds like a really intriguing concept, should definately speed things up abit! and hopefully increase the intensity!

    got some blueprints drawn?!

  • Nothing on paper, but I've got an idea of where I'm going with the next one. I'm going with star shaped core like cavities (a star shaped core provides fairly neutral burning, keeping the internal pressure at a constant), probably 3 or 4x 9mm extending the 3/4 the length of the grain and 7 vent holes (1 central and 6 at 60 degree intervals around the top) instead of 1.

  • haha nothing on paper? that sounds like a very detailed description! but fundamentally it sounds plausible, and youre sure that the increase in internal pressure, will not exceed that of the stress' of the casing?

    good luck!

  • very nice, it'll be good to see a perfected version, and it'd be great for mardi gras :P

    lol 5/5 mate

  • Cheers mate, I'm just glad the can held up to the heat and pressure. Onward and upward... lol.

  • Hehe gotta love the kids in the background :D They enjoyed the colour? It would be great if you could speed it up a little, might do one for NYE to mess up my street :D

    5*

  • Thanks M, they loved it :D

I'm going to core the next one or pelletise the comp to increase the speed. Maybe for next sunday? lol ;)

  • Hey thats great, i also thought you could core it, but granulating din't even cross my mind. That might do the trick. The comp itself looks like slow burning, so a greater surface aeria will do a great job!

  • If I go down the pellet route, they'll probably be about 10mm star size. Fast but not too fast :D
