This movie has similar story as a Korean movie: A moment to Remember. I mean this movie brings same theme, that's alzheimer. Anyway, i still love Kajol ^_^. Just to tell everybody, try to have a look at Korean movies and serials, there is a funny one; Full House. If you are interested in historical serials, Korean serial is the right choice. They are presented well, with smart conversation and realistic human story including love, just don't expect to watch melodrama type of movie. No offence ;)

This movie kind of reminds me of the hollywood movie Away from Her (made in 2006). It has similarities, but I still really love You Me Aur Hum! A beautiful story!! There are scenes that are so touching.. brings tears to your eyes! Very well done Ajay and Kajol!! =)

Being a Psychiatrist myself all I can say is this movie is utter bull shit. Alzheimer's at the age of 28, are u kidding us Ajay ? And the rate of Alzheimer's (in the young) quoted in the movie is again incorrect. Never heard of neuro dialators as mentioned in the movie. Somebody surviving for 25 years post Alzheimer's - cannot imagine. Kajol singing without dysphasia - unimaginable. As shown in the movie, memory in AD never fluctuates. It is always a progressive condition

Thats what I heard too. Ajay just jealous cuz he's never going to have a hit movie like Kajol and Shahrukh have had together. These too are the ultimate bollywood couple. Any movie with them together is a huge hit. I've never seen that for any two actors in bollywood or hollywood.

Bollywood films uses the informal "Bambaiya" Hindi. It's not necessary for Bollywood films to be in formal Hindi. "Bollywood" refers to the Mumbai film industry (as opposed to the the Madras film industry), not the language spoken in. India is a extremely diverse country and English is an official language in India, so why not?
I have nothing against them speaking english in Bollywood movies...but almost all hindi movies these days are just bad copies of an english movie I've already seen. It just seems like in the process of trying to make their movies seem more like hollywood, they're just kind of missing out on their on culture which makes Hindi movies different. It's also annoying when they stuff in english and then REPEAT the same thing in hindi again.
Very few of the Bollywood films that I've watched are copies of Hollywood films. Many people who claim that "almost all" Hindi films are copies of Hollywood films possibly only seen a handful or no Bollywood film. You're perhaps looking in the wrong direction. --->
Watch, but don't generalise the industry based on low-budget films like Sarkar, or films like Partner which are made only because it's an easy way of making money with little effort in the creative side and since Hollywood isn't popular in India, that wouldn't be noticed by the Indian viewers (nor would most of them care since the two industries are so different). *I say watch because each film needs to be watched fully before they are judged fairly.
You should judge each film according the makers and not the country it's from - I don't think that would be fair and undermines other individuals' creativity. Anyway, it's possible that this film could be a good original flick. Check out the classic Bollywood films and the New Age films (like Mein, Meri Patni aur Woh). I'm more than happy to recommend sites which could expand your knowledge of Hindi cinema.

On the subject matter: I at least have something in my soul while your appears to be empty and lonely. So much that you evidently get off on negative attention - I am sure there is a name for that condition of yours. So, Bollywood audiences are not intelligent in your world. Interesting. On average they speak 4, 5 or 6 languages and have double engineering degrees. A very very beautiful film. Ajay is better than ever!!! Kajol is stunning and superb, as usual. And it is NOT like "The Notebook"... it is FAR, FAR better told, woven, and shot. There are similarities, but, who cares? The film rocks.

this film is mind-blowing!!! no pun intended, it really is an amazing film. thrilling. i loved it. it's a spine-chilling film yet a romance. it's on a par with my other favourite film khuda ke liye. if you thought taare zameen par was good, u should love this film. it's even better. probabily will win lots of awards with filmfare this year.

agreed that the trailer doesn't look that good. but the film absolutely rocks!! it's almost like a horror film. and even better because you've seen the trailer and you're expecting a lovey-dovey film. it's a must watch film for anyone who thinks they're in love or plans on falling in love one day.

i think Ajay tried to copy Amir Khan by making this movie. he wanted to direct a movie about a disease that not many people knew about but he didnt at all do it as well as Amir. but he did okay as a director

i thought this movie was gonna suck but it actually wasnt that bad. It turns out that the movie was about how Kajol had alzheimers and Ajay couldnt handle it so he sent her to a menter asylum. then he relized he was selfish and brought her back.

how kajol and ajay meet is quite unrealistic, instead two college friends meeting secretly is Mumbai would have been more romantic. Then this story about alzeheimer disease and how kajol survives 25years is a baloni; instead kajol has brain cancer and how she remembers and forgets and finally gets cured with lots of love and care from hubby been better. Still ajay could have conveyed the same message. More people could have related this movie to their experience; still could have had masti.

I'm concerned by the patr9nage offered to this kind of escapist cinema. It would make sense to make a film with a couple on a yatch in Hollywood...but Bollywood...c'mon, guys, get more real -- how about talking about the huge dowry problem, the great communal divide or numerous other poverty related problems hounding India?

im confused with the chemistry between Ajay and Kajol. In real life Kajol admitted they are very different, Ajay is quiet and Kajol is very bubbly. We have been spoiled to see Kajol and Sharukh together, It is hard to see them with anyone else.

I am sure that this movie will be a hit because both are great actors.Ajay can overshadow put all the Khans in his pocket( remember poor Salman Khan in HDDS !) as far as acting is concerned.He can do any type of role of role with ease and utmost conviction and he never overacts like Sharukhkhan. Kajol was the best leading female actor before her marriage and she was the real cause behind the success of Kuch kuch hota hain and Fanaa.Even Sharukkhan acknowledged that.

Thats what I heard too. Ajay just jealous cuz he's never going to have a hit movie like Kajol and Shahrukh have had together. These too are the ultimate bollywood couple. Any movie with them together is a huge hit. I've never seen that for any two actors in bollywood or hollywood.

Bollywood films uses the informal "Bambaiya" Hindi. It's not necessary for Bollywood films to be in formal Hindi. "Bollywood" refers to the Mumbai film industry (as opposed to the the Madras film industry), not the language spoken in. India is a extremely diverse country and English is an official language in India, so why not?

I have nothing against them speaking english in Bollywood movies...but almost all hindi movies these days are just bad copies of an english movie I've already seen. It just seems like in the process of trying to make their movies seem more like hollywood, they're just kind of missing out on their on culture which makes Hindi movies different. It's also annoying when they stuff in english and then REPEAT the same thing in hindi again.

Very few of the Bollywood films that I've watched are copies of Hollywood films. Many people who claim that "almost all" Hindi films are copies of Hollywood films possibly only seen a handful or no Bollywood film. You're perhaps looking in the wrong direction. --->

Watch, but don't generalise the industry based on low-budget films like Sarkar, or films like Partner which are made only because it's an easy way of making money with little effort in the creative side and since Hollywood isn't popular in India, that wouldn't be noticed by the Indian viewers (nor would most of them care since the two industries are so different). *I say watch because each film needs to be watched fully before they are judged fairly.

You should judge each film according the makers and not the country it's from - I don't think that would be fair and undermines other individuals' creativity. Anyway, it's possible that this film could be a good original flick. Check out the classic Bollywood films and the New Age films (like Mein, Meri Patni aur Woh). I'm more than happy to recommend sites which could expand your knowledge of Hindi cinema.

I love the opening shot of the seaguls flying! Just from the trailer, this movie looks like a gem - very stylish, colourful, great music, and the awesome jodi of the Devgans.
