@Randidan I suspect the "ducking" of high notes is a choice of the conductor, especially looking at other videos of this production. I've seen him do this live for Opera Australia, and he took all the high notes without batting an eyelid. Also, another Opera Australia principal artist told me that "Jose Carbo has a better B flat than most tenors."
