Great instructional video. No ego and just pure skating. I just turned 40 and decided to come out of a 10 yr retirement after buying a Steve Alba Santa Cruz. The thing I notice a lot is the reaction from kids when they see my deck. Some think it's a toy, others tell me it's a longboard and then watch in amusement as I carve and without any technical tricks.
By the way, I definitely enjoy watching your 'feedback' vids. They're pretty inspirational and make me wish I was able to skate all those gnarly californian bowls. Keep up the thrashing.
Just to put my opinion forth. California skateparks are some of the greatest. Although, the deep end in this bowl is for sure, if not a 9ft pocket then a 9.5ft pocket. From all the bowls I've skated, I'd know this for a fact since I skate a bowl with a 9ft pocket and 11.5ft deep end on a weekly basis. This bowl's deep end is definitely not 10ft or 10.5ft. The designers of the park have every measurement documented for state building purposes. If you disagree, look up Pier Skatepark in Oregon.
That is soooooooooo sick I live in Brisbane Australia and I went on a trip to the us last December and I so wanna live in Venice it's so good. Great skating I have learnt so much from u!
What video editing program do you use? I like that dual superimposed effect. I've been using imovie. Wonder if it has that feature. You're skating good. Those pools look fun.
Ahh thx alot you should try that effect but with more runs, stoping in at other sides of the pool at different place it would look sweet! as long as you don't cross thru yourself
Awsome videos I want to pool skate one day unfortiontly I don't have a skatepark near by. Anyway when you combine those videos together and it looks like there's two of you how do you do that? What's it called?
@chainkiller999 - I just did the superimposed composite in my editing software. There's no name for it, really. I'd never seen anyone do anything like that before. The idea just hit me, and I tried it, and it worked.
Enjoying your videos a lot. I'm a newbie, I've started skating around two months ago. I haven't reached the point where I could drop in a quater pipe or a pool, but your channel is really interesting. I also like the editing, especially on this one with the speed comparisons. The videos feel really fresh and lively. Thank you for working on these footages and sharing them.
Thanks. I'm glad you enjoyed it! I have a lot of fun making them.
When you are ready to drop in, remember to start small. Don't try dropping in on a 6foot pool first. Try some 3 foot or 4 foot miniramp and work your way up to higher and higher transitions.

@zigzagskate60 - Final Cut Pro. Not sure if iMovie has the ability, I've never used it. Thanks for the compliments! The pool is a blast!
