Petrovicky did exactly what he needed to do. Nothing wrong with the hit, but Drake payed the price for throwing it.

That's not what I meant. When a player throws a hit like that, they'll likely have to answer the bell when the guy's teammate sticks up for him. Drake took a few solid punches to the face for throwing the hit, therefore he payed the price for deciding to do it. I'm not saying that the hit was dirty or that he deserved to get punched, but he had to know that someone would respond.
