how to use winavi to convert between different video format

I didnt watch this video to get WinAVI, but i'm here to tell the folks that this is the best video converter program i've used, PERIOD! I was using AVS Video Converter but the quality on all the videos was just too grainy, but winavi has no graininess what-so-ever. There are several options like fullscreen and widescreen, avi, avi-720p, and avi-1080p, as well as mp4 and so on. It will also take out subtitles. Just play with it and you'll fucking love it!

i have a question. why is that when i am converting something from avi format to ipod format, before the downloading start it will crash,, and say there is a problem with the xvid???

You probably have a problem with the xvid codec on your system. try downloading and installing klite codec and see if this fixes your problem

WinAvi as a problem converting FLV files. you should try super, it converts FLV files great

nevermind my previous problem, I already fixed that .. but now I don't have any sound..

How do i add sound? my AUDIO_TS map is empty.

And in my VIDEO_TS map i have 7 files, 4 which are small: 2 BUP files, and 2 IFO files they're like 8kb and 48kb, what are those?

The actual movie is called: VTS_01_1.VOB, but if i only add this one to the dvd there isn't any sound .. please respond!

I converted an avi vid of like 46 minutes to an mpeg format.

I can play the movie and the main screen looks just normal, but as soon as I "play" the movie the screen starts like "double-teaming" and i see 4x the same person.

This also happens when i put the CD in my computer.

Did i do anything wrong? I converted with the standard DVD output format, please help me if you can.

Oh this may also help, when avi got completly converted, i had a map wich said: VIDEO_TS_010, and VIDEO_TS something like that.

I didn't know what the VIDEO_TS_010 was so i put both files on the disc. maybe i should have only add one file on the disc? please respond

good video, if I use nero 8 it takes 3 hrs or so to transcode and burn, with winavi it takes about 30 min. but the dvds skip a bit in my player and the audio is out of sync for a few sec, it comes back until it skips again. I am converting avi mostly, so far all winavi dvds have skipped, no nero dvds have skipped, but the take way too long. any help is greatly appreciated.

You should make the movie over and change some of the advance settings( disable the direct ac3 function)

that is a possibility. but heres what to try besides disabling the direct ac3 option. also under the advance settings change all output functions to convert by quality(there is three different options to change)

Thats possible but I doubt it. I have converted plenty of avi to dvds with no problem. I suggest going to the advanced settings and change all settings to convert by quality (and nothing else) also I recommend disabling the direct ac3 option

you have to be more specific, I dont fully understand your problem. what kind of vid are you converting(movie, home made etc.) ? and whats the problem with the voice, does it come before the video or after it?
