  • Panasonic makes the best electronics! no other brand is as good and reliable.

  • I recently bought a Panasonic Viera 50"inch TCP50C2 720p Plasma HDTV, but I am only receiving 480i aspect ratio for my cable and dvd movies, because 720p is for HD channels, and I don't have DIgital cable, only basic analog cable service from Time Warner. However, why do the dvd movies play, mention 480i when I p...ress Info on the remote. I was reading about how to get 720p aspect radio, eitehr through HDMI cable..................

  • hooked up to a HDMI socket on your cable box, which mine doesn't have, or get DIgital Cable with HD channels. There is alot of tiny fuzz particles when watching my tv, when you stand really close, but far away, it looks okay, but only 480i, and I was hoping I would get 720p.

  • 1080p is top of the line for HD channels, and I have seen how sharp those are, amazing picture quality.

Maybe somebody can explain to me how I can get 720p picture quality, through HDMI cable like the manual says, or digital cable with FREE HD Channels, but I am sure most services charge extra fees for HD channels. But shouldn't my DVD movies be 720p, or would I get that with Blu-Ray movies?

  • yea.... ur tv sux..... the samsung 9000 series LED tv is WAAAAY better than that piece of crap :P

  • @olga194 Samsung makes good 3D HDTVs (such as the 9000 series), but if your gonna get a HDTV that is 60+ inches and 3D, get the Panasonic Viera VT25. Its better than the 9000 series. And ironically, the 8000 series has more feature than the 9000, you can see the comparison chart on Samsung's website. The selling point for the 9000 series is its 0.3" screen, I mean sure thats awesome, but is that REALLY the only reason your buying that over the VT25?

  • @olga194 Panasonic is best

  • have it and im pround to be british

  • on this tv u can play for example on the 360 at 1080p? thanks

  • @dtalamas24 Sure, just ask me 2 years ago.

  • @leodee lol smartass lol

  • @dtalamas24 Yes, but 360's are only able to produce up to 720p graphics. So viewing in 1080p is not the best setting for a 360 and will actually cause lagging due to the mismatch.

  • i got this tv it nice

  • How heavy is the tv? Seemed like you had no trouble lifting it out of the box.

  • Is there any noticeable input lag when playing games on these tv's? Thanks

  • none, not something that you would typical get with Plasma anyway.

  • Thanks

  • how much did this cost and how much hertz is it

  • What was your reaction when got the tv?

  • nice video, although it would have been even better if you turned the tv on =P

anyway i like plasma tv's i think im going to buy one 'cause the lcd doesnt convince me xDDD

  • I dont see how it would have helped really, you cant judge the quality of the picture via the camera, via youtube and on a pc screen. Too many other factors involved.

  • have you upgraded to kuro

  • Panasonic plasmas are excellent.

  • awsome i love it im buying one rigth now

  • Nice tv dawg!

  • 5000:1 contrast ratio aint dat gd, they a made a 2mill:1 contrast, y didnt you get dat 1

  • I made this video over a year ago - this was the top of the range at the time.

  • o kool kool

  • which tv is the one that has 2m:1 contrast? i might get that one

    thanks

  • Sexy TV man... I have a 42" Panny as well!

  • Allways go for the LCD

  • no ? plasma have the most fastes HZ and a more realiztik look on the screen ?

  • and don't say it is bull shit my dad own a shop with panasonic ?

  • no plasma burns in and it bad for games most warrentys dont covor burn in

  • Really not much of a problem with newer plasma TV's not experienced any burn-in problems with mine and I use it for gaming.

  • does it have white wash feture ???? it cleans up the burn in

  • how long can u leave an image example if you pause a game while using ur plasma how long till it burns? 2 hours 1 hour? 10minutes? 5minu? 6hours xD?

  • r the fans loud

  • oh my bad i have the panasonic viera

    TC-50PX14

ADN IT COMES WITH THE STAND

  • i just got mine yesterday ima

but i dont have a camera my sis took it to

    california !!!

  • i'm getting one on black friday day

  • me too cant wait

  • iv got the next version of this tv

  • good plasmas not pioneer good but great value for money !!!

  • G.R.E.A.T

  • I seen the commercial for one of there tvs and now I want one for gaming. Does anyone know how veiras handle games

  • they handle games great. i got the 50 in. one like 2 weeks ago and ive had no problems with it whatsoever.

  • plasmas are as good as anything else for gaming but if its for gaming only you should go for a lcd or the newer samsung led tvs as they have a better refresh rate

by the way the led tv has the best pic quality iv ever seen

  • @steveothehulk your kidding me rite? plasma's have the best refresh rate of any tv

  • Is panasonic comin out with a new range of vieras anytime soon?

  • they just did

  • im getting this on saturday there setting it up on tuesday

  • got a panasonic viera 42, they blow most plasmas away! the picture is out of this world, i wudnt change it!

  • is that TV a Plasma Or a LCD TV????????????

  • Panasonic makes Plasmas...the best along with Pioneer Plasmas.

  • @johnherrera305 Pioneer plasmas are the best becuase the are really Panasonic. Pansonic makes them for Pioneer. This is what i heard.

  • plasma

  • is plasma............lcd screans are aiways black

  • HOLY COW! Way to lay the plasma on it's side. Bad idea. You just fucked up the chemicals. You may not notice but technically you just degraded the performance of the plasma. Nice TV though. I have the same.

  • Where on earth did you get that idea from?

  • Never mind leodee, he is probably one of those idiots that thinks you can 're-gas' a plasma too!

  • Exactly. I am 'probably one but I'm not because I did not think that of 're-gassing' a plasma and therefore just leaving me with being right about not lying it down!

    Haha. Retard.

  • Sorry, I overreacted a bit cause it's a NICE TV. Don't worry about it. It mainly happens if you drive with it like that. It's just a high risk of shifting the chemicals around. Some boxes even tell you this. And technically, it's not really a "mess up" if that happened anyway because the chemicals would just need to be topped up. Sorry about that. It's a VIERA though!

  • You can't 'top up' the chemicals or gas in a plasma TV, that's an urban myth.

  • Why are you changing subjects when my main point is that there is a risk of putting a plasma face down? I'm trying to be nice so that if you move your TV, you carry it up.

  • You had better tell Panasonic then as they say 'No risk of damaging a plasma screen through transporting it laying down' but not to 'operate the unit horizontally as the heat will not dissipate'.

  • Panasonic Plasmas are great! I got the Neo-PDP 42" last week. Oh, the box did say: "Warning, transport only in upright position..."

  • I got one and the quality is awsome.

I was surpriced how good Viera handle my old DVDs to compare to Sanyo LCD.

Putting a plasma face down. I will never do that to mine!

  • I use my Panny with the PS3 and XBOX, never had any problems with burn-in. I think you would need to have the same static image on screen for days to notice it!

  • Panasonic is a excellent brand. I've pledged my allegiance to them, both my tv and home theater system are Panny. Even my car head unit is Panasonic. Nothing beats them for the price. I bought a Viera Plasma last year and haven't looked back, nothing compares.

  • its not top of the range anymore

  • Hey, can you comment on the glare-reducing technology on this tv? I'm seriously considering a 50 inch THPZ850u, but am worried about glare which many have noted a possible problem on plasma hdtv's.

  • i am getting one of them kind i hope its good

  • umm just asking on hdtv can u add like directtv on it ?? b/c i have directtv

  • u can use any service with any tv. direct tv or dish will all work.

  • i love that remote

  • @proballerbiker the same i i got with my 46pz80 strange...

  • how do you like this tv????

  • mine is a 2008 panasonic plazma ,a bit different but its a 32inch tv that costs 1700bucks

  • i have this tv except for that mine is 72'es. :D

  • I actually thought the remote was not that great in terms of quality...

  • remote owned only the flap broke off in like 1 week - . -

  • Plasma kills LCD in terms of pretty much everything, I have my eye on the Samsung PN42A450....yet i'm worried about 2 things...the lower than 720p resolution, and burn in...

  • Yes, plasmas are amazing while watching movies and other tv shows. I don't think you have to warry to mutch about "burn in" as long as you don't connect your pc to it. Of course you can set a 1 minute screensaver which will most likely reduce the problem.

  • I'm not worried about burn in that much anymore or Image retention. There's other things like dithering and video noise that i'm worried about. I pretty much want a plasma for Wii,PS3,360 and Bluray/Dvds and i honestly don't want to settle for LCD. And the question is 1080p or 720p? ones native and the other is fixed

  • Had my previous Panny plasma for 5 years, no sign of any burn in. Just have to be a bit sensible about it!

  • well buy a 5 year warentee then they will fix the burn in.... if it ever happens

  • burn in is not too much of a problem on panasonics. mostly happens on vizios

  • SWEET!

  • I bought one and its an awsome tv .When watching HD it out of this world.

  • Thats Panasonic 4 u mate a extreeemly hight quality brand.

  • just wondering, 'height wise' how tall is the screen? Just curiouse since i plan on picking up a 42" plasma

  • i just got the 50 inch viera its sick playing ps3 and x360 on it

  • I also just got the Panasonic viera 50" plasma on Saturday. I got wood when turned it on! Schwing!

  • yea its a sexy plasma, it gets so hot its heats up my liveing room lol

  • cool ilike the four cooling fans that rocks

  • Depends on the model. This one was the TH-42PZ700B-PED with a pedestal but they have others with either a cabinet or a wall-mount.

  • Does a stand come with it? or do you have to buy one seprate?

  • NICE CANT WAIT TILL I BUY ME ONE :)

  • Erm, this is true FullHD it's 1080p

  • What really annoys me is that everysingle 42" Plasma isn't true HD, the resolution is a bit below 720p...I planned on picking up a 42" samsung or a panasonic, but since they're below 720p i'm not buying. It's frusturating, since LCDs have lower contrast ratios, lower color bits, slight motion blur and not to mention they cost more. All i wan't is a solid 720p 42" plasma...aghhh

  • LCD's are more expensive. And all the technology is a liquid inside a see through display and it's backilt

  • Yes, I prefer the light emmissive plasma technology better

  • I like plasma better to. LCD tends to blur with fast moving subjects plasma does't. I hava 42 Inch Panasonic and i love it.

  • You are wrong! it's 1080P

  • hehehe I got the SAME plasma HD TV lucky me !!! =)

  • im finkin to get a panasonic plasma tv... ne advice?

  • cool good for you

  • hav it....its ledge....perfect 4 da ps3

  • how would that happen then?

  • he must think u have a LCD lol

  • You should not lay the plasma screen flat on floor or any surface because the image could get messed up!!!

  • yes indeed. Smudges on Plasmas are very visibe compared to old CRT tv's.

  • yip i have heard this to. The gas in the tv rises to the top or somthing i think.

  • i have the 50 inch PZ700U 1080p panasonic plasma. its the best tv out there right now. the picture quality is the best ive seen and the sound is very good hd sound. bestbuy sells it for $2,999 dollars. and sears sells it for $2,400 dollars. im very happy with my tv.

  • i have the white remote :s

  • This is a very nice tv. Excellent quality.

  • Cool! I just got a 58" PZ700U. But the UK versions are like the Japanese, way better! they have 3-HDMI inputs and headphone plug the only one in the U.S. with 3-HMDI (but no headphone plug) is the top tier PZ750 Series. I notice the remote is now all plastic, which means it's no longer made with metal face plate.

  • lol i have the pansonic viera 50 inch

  • nice tv

  • how much does it cost

  • review will be online at tracyandmatt dot co dot uk soon...

  • So how is the Picture Quality..would you recommend this TV for me...
