Is it just me or does this game look and sound WORSE than X-Men: Mutant Academy 2? It looks like the combos and fighting is much better but at the cost of sound quality and the lightning strikes.

i rather choose x-men next dimenson over mortal kombat. they both suck but next dimension is better. only thing i like about mortal kombat is character-art and its female characters. gameplay wise sucks. the 2011 mortal kombat got kick ass graphic thanks to unreal engine. mortal kombat is a rent game in my book. i only buy 2011 mortal kombat only if its 14.00 or either rent it jus to see my sexy mileena. im not a fan of gore.. but a fan of ass and tits.

@levidsreviews 2001 yh? Go look at Soul Calibur, Virtua Fighter 3. Tekken Tag Tournament, Dead or Alive 3 and then this. The difference between this game and those is firstly, the budge,t and secondly its probably made by new-ish development team. I'm not even saying they done a bad job with the resources they had but I know a low-budget fighting game when I see one. I would expect an X-Men fighting to be better than this. An example of a low-budget HD game, Mortal Kombat vs DC.

@NMFlemzy duuuuuuuuude the only reason anyone thinks its low budget is because theres no music in the menu and/or character select screen. its was great for its time. the large and spacious arenas, the special combos are fantastic etc.... and i 100% agree with you on mk vs dc that game blew hard lol

@levidsreviews Nopre, i didnt even notice that about the music. That is not the reason. the blocky graphics, the poor animations and like, everything spells out low bugdet. It isnt hard to make a large empty arena.

the games sound is fucked up. its like they didn't finnish it or something. and sometimes sound effects are missing. and for some reason the voices are always loud as fuck.. nothing is in sync. the rest of the game is ok though.

I used to play this game on gamecube. Favorite characters were blob and nightcrawler (not in that order) but I didn't like the game...the controls were stiff, and spamming was way too...forced. Combo moves I found too difficult...in any case, it was a good fighting game, but not a good game overall...

Wolverine rockz but is this Level3 Special-Attack @ about 0:50 a secret level-attack? cant remember it. But i know that some Chars have some Hidden Attacks.
