The story is an absolute clusterfuck; however, the improvements made to gameplay in XIII-2 makes me wish XIII was patched with the same system instead of having to wait 25 hours before you can do anything interesting.

And with that, I love the sound of a modern orchestra and the overall soundtrack of the game, sure its not like XIII, but its completely unique with the same final fantasy feel (The jazzy progressions every FF has). Of course, I think it sounds good later in the song - more like Final Fantasy - but the electric guitar and the progressions just don't sound good to me. Actually, they had three composers for the game, with Masashi Hamauzu being one of them. This track was composed by Naoshi Mizuta, though. While I don't like it as much as Blinded by Light, I think it's a pretty good battle theme, and I especially love when the violins come in.

I personally feel that the Series have gone down hill since IX, But yet, I still buy every new game in the series. XIII wasn't bad as so many claim it is, it's not the best in the series, but it is far from the worst. I don't have high expectations for XIII-2 at all, but I am still looking forward to it and hoping it surprises me.

Versus has a completely separate development team, so they're getting things done. It's taking so long because they've been designing everything, new engines and all, from the ground up. Just recently they added the new Luminous Engine they were working on. And Nomura has confirmed that it's nearing completion, and that after XIII-2 it'll be Versus' time to shine.

Keep a heads up for December, as Japan is having a major gaming event on the 17th.

I did.. Hamauzu did Challenge and Besaid Island. My favorite one by Hamauzu is easily People of the North Pole/Mount Gagazet. Uematsu's gems in that soundtrack (just him alone) would be To Zanarkand and Seymour's Battle Theme. I also really dig that song played in the Macalania Woods (not the 'actual' theme for the woods but that other one?).

Anywho, I love this son
