  • Perfect anti-matrix music.

  • This song needs to have more views.

  • so feeling i just love pearl jam! so stupid who said that this song is not good of course its not good its perfect!

  • so feeling i just love pearl jam!

  • You know how you know an artists work was a bad one? The next one doesn't sell. It's a shame too, Binaural was better in almost every respect.

This song was good with the exception of the lyrics and Eddie singing like he was cracked out the whole time.

  • hands down , the best pearl jam album.

  • @codahasnotail1 Yeh I would have to say this is the Coolest Album by Pearl Jam.

  • my favorite song by them....

  • IN MY HUMBLE OPINION: BEST PEARL JAM SONG.......EVER!!!!!

  • amazing band, amazing album, amazing song.....and what is going to be the soundtrack to my New Years eve 2010. 'I shut and locked the front door

    No way in or out

I turned and walked the hallway

    And pulled the curtains down'

    Bring on 2011.!!!!!

  • @govtime if you dont like em, dont come here, simply as that

  • @govtime suck my dick

  • @govtime cuntybaws

  • @govtime

you're a dumb ass you fucking moral dwarf, go hate yourself you idiot

  • my old poker drinking album

    LOVE it still

    NEVER bore of this album!

  • This song encapsulates my life to a T. I still have not come out as the song suggests. I pray that third verse comes my way! Oh how I pray.

  • Amazing song, Amazing Album, Amazing Musicians, Amazing Band.

    Pearl Jam is AMAZING.

  • This song speaks to all of us in this generation

our values, our beliefs, our politics , who we are right now in this time

Pearl Jam makes us believe in youth, hope, freedom and maybe poetic justice

  • @jetsonic69 why always comes a person with this commentaries about religion this, politics this...why just leave us and just let us enjoy the song? some of us just like to hear the song just because its awesome, not because it has some meaning everyone just invents

  • This song has been in my head for days. Had to hear it. Thanks for posting

  • @nocaster4747 Same here, man. I hadn't heard this song in many years, but it just kept popping into my head this week!

  • @gerKremerC

It's weird, I kind of lost interest in PJ after this album and lately I've been thinking about them a lot.

  • Most spectacular song!

  • Great song, these guys are such poets of our time. There are so many times in my life, when it would be so much easier to be, "In Hiding". Thanks Pearl Jam.

  • Someone had a mouse problem, made them click the unlike by accident. :(

  • cuando la toco en la guitarra me convierto en mike mcready, saludos desde honduras

  • Yield is PJ's most underrated album

  • This song always makes me want to go outside and just run...sprint...full tilt...on a rainy day...then crash with the rain pelting me as I gasp for air

  • the yeild sign has no right being there....

  • how come you cant rate vids anymore? I wanna 5 star this so hard. ha

  • @guydickherber19

I think it's because songs with this level of awesome deserve more than 5 stars, and that only 5 stars wouldn't do it justice.

  • mmmu

    in a heap

    notting sound

    losts souls . com

    mmmmmummmmmummmmmemmammmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm i i i i i we nrdd inf omaition

    spanner

  • 2:45 the guitar...what a sound!

  • i think its about someone who is trying to kick a drug habbit

  • holy fuck, this song with summer is fucking win

  • eddie once explained the song, Stone had written the music and every rehearsal after that he would ask Ed if he had gotten any lyrics for it yet , Ed was struggling to come up with anything so he went off for a few days at some place in the middle of nowhere and shut himself off from the world until he came up with lyrics

  • I would be really happy if you could link me that article/interview ...

  • @Ekyvvsaq nope

  • @pearljam728 Why?

  • Excelente tema!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Holden Caulfield AWESOME!!!

  • RIP

  • JD Salinger

  • It's all state of (my) mind....no way in or out... nothings sound....soon i was seeing visions and cracks along the walls...I'm in hiding... from my sanity. lol

  • Danileo13!! it couldn't being said better!!

  • What's this song about?

  • i thinks its about someone just shutting them self in to get away from their life for a while. At first it was tough but then after a while i guess the person liked being alone better.

  • that was to "Palarus", who asked btw

  • fantastico pezzo

  • great song, my favourite of YIELD

  • 1. Riot Act

    2. Yield

    3. No Code

    4. Backspacer

    5. Vitalogy

  • bring harm to others, eh? What a sinful person you are!

  • i just can't hear this song without feeling an intense joy in myself

    PEARL JAM ROCKS

  • @danileo13 ya I know

  • @danileo13 So do I! And this outstanding track reminds me a lot of Jeremy in its composition!

  • YT can`t play that?? on a worldwideway

  • one of my favorite pj songs.

  • this is such an amazing aong.

  • @thebudman420 is a great song too

  • I guess this song sounds like the highest equilibrium in the PJ's creation. At No Code, the band started to leave the "grunge's scar". On Yield, they got it.

  • @aFitaCassete nice coments!!

  • Vs., No Code, Yield, Backspacer...in that order. I think those four albums perfectly summarize PJ's evolution as a band.

  • wow thats interesting man. I agree.

  • id say 10 instead of vs.

  • This may sound dumb, but this album cover reminds me of Rush's Snakes and Arrows Live cover.

Also, Which Pearl Jam album should I get? I have ten and was told (by my stepdad) that there isn't really any good pearl jam after ten, what is an album to prove him wrong? If this is any contributor, I LOVE the song Yellow Ledbetter.

  • id have to say riot act

  • No Code is there greatest work. It may take a few listens but I promise you if you give it time it will blow you away.

  • PJ's a great band for sure. I wouldn't say No Code is there greatest tho. Its a great awesome album. I'd like to think all of their albums are a master piece.

  • Vitalogy for sure, almost as good as Ten.... most songs on it are great

  • MY ALL TIME FAVORITE PEARL JAM TUNE

  • ahh memories

  • have you ever thought about the weird noice that comes from McCreadys guitar at 4.09?? Changing pickup on the guitar??

  • wich next pearl jam album sould i get next i have yield and ten

  • i suggest vitalogy

  • Vs!!!!!

  • @sickness091 GET BACKSPACER!!! It rocks in all regard..

  • Theres something really unique and spiritual about this song......Its like early Pearl Jam songs had real social substance to the lyrics about life, death, misery, stress, drugs, depression, politics , religion and the world .

In hiding has got to be one of the best songs about how tough life is, and sometimes you just have to let go and find a better way out

  • One of Pearl Jam's most underrated tracks off arguably their most underrated album. Pearl Jam is a consistently growing influence; I have their albums "Ten", "Vs." and "Vitalogy". I'm positive I'm going to get "Yield" next.

  • Get No code.

  • Get Binaural.

  • one of their finest albums

  • Thanks for posting this. I used your video on my website(my name) for an article on the top 50 Pearl Jam songs. This was #15

  • i love the crackel from the amp at the end chorus.....awesome

  • I have never heard anything from this album yet before- this is a fantastic song!

  • sit through and listen to it once all the way through....it's amazing.

  • Kickass, In Hiding is definitely my favorite Pearl Jam song, with Immortality and Oceans coming in a close second and third!

  • I am hiding now till Monday...

  • chills up the spine.....and this is 'merely' the studio version. Live its tremendous!!!!!

  • just ... great

  • my favorite

  • there 2nd best ever!!! only outdone by in my tree!! simply amazing!! thank you.

  • agree one of there best

  • The best!!!!!!!!

  • amazing track

  • 2:24 always gives me a chill. Awesome band.

  • Greatest lyrics in a while by them.

  • Pearl Jam rules...

  • really, really good song. one out of the two best songs on the album. the other one is given to fly. love that song too!

  • ITS EVOLUTIOn BABY!

  • one of my favorites songs !!!

i love listening to those guitars echoes

  • a guy who i am totally in love with got me into them LOL, at first i was like ummm this sux but now i like them alot!!

  • The best Pearl Jam song since 1998 and one of their best ever!Yield is almost on top(Ten rules!!!!)

  • shouldn't it be "fist" instead of "face" and "fighting" instead of "biting"? oh well. i might be wrong..

this is an awesome song. i just can't get it out from my head forever. thanks for uploading!

  • Months ago, the lyric sites I checked had the ones I posted, but to hell with it, I heard what you wrote, and I'll post your version. Thanks.

  • @1michelemichele1 You should use Pearl Jam's official site for the lyrics. I would think they'd have the right ones there, eh? :P

  • @OfficialSpektrymTV the lyrics at the official site aren't exactly right

  • @fonixs Yeah...they probably get their own lyrics wrong.

  • @1michelemichele1 Yeah man you're both fucking awesome :)

  • Una canción de esas muuy dificiles de hacer, solo pearl jam puede crear algo asi.

Stone es increible con su guitarra, cuantas melodias en una sola cancion, great.

  • Best song of the Yield album. One of the greatest bands to ever live.

  • fuckin' great song!!! PEARL JAM ROCK ON!!!

  • i know most people think ten was their greatest work but i enojoyed this just as much

  • i realy loved this album

  • I had to log in for this. The way he just casually cruises through the song and then just HITS it with his trademark barritone makes this the absolute favorite Pearm Jam song for me.

  • One thing very unique about this song is that some PJ fans find this song incredible and one of their best (like me), and some think of it as one of their weaker songs! And these are genuine PJ fans I am talking about.

  • this song makes me feel awesome.

it gives me a feeling of hope.

    it's weird.

    and i'm stupid. probably.

  • no you're not. i feel the same way.

  • definitely, man

Pearl Jam does that to ya

  • THANKS PEARL JAM .... THANKS PEARL JAM .... THANKS PEARL JAM =d

  • thanks for the great song! cheers.

  • eddie couldnt find any lyrics for stones riff so he went off out in the middle of knowwhere for a few days to get inspired. in hiding

  • I'm guessing it's about taking acid?

  • Nah. More like taking a "life break", according to Eddie Vedder. A solitude song. Being a loner myself, I can totally relate.

  • That's how I see it as well. "They Say" there's a backstory to it, but what the hell: personal interpretations are better for us. Gives us a voice we might not otherwise have.

...Well, that's my take on it, at any rate.

  • amen dude :)

its a song, not an autobiography

  • I hear you bro..just pretty much coming back from my personal hiatus..feels good too!!

  • @thedaemonforever you and me both... there are times I don't want to know about anyone or anything... other than lose myself in music and enjoy my bulldogs. :)

  • Isn't it incredible if only one person gets it.

  • Should say "Isn't it incredible 'even' if only one person gets it...

  • It is

Though sometimes I wonder how much projecting I do

  • I think it is impossible not to project, at least a little....b/c you can never truly know what another person is thinking so your mind naturally invents or inserts a bit of the only reality you know...your own.

    btw....great channel too....

  • sweet song !

  • thx for the post! Yield is my favorite Pearl Jam album by far and this song is sooo sweet!
