I find the sound from your drums remarkably good. How did you record this ? Amd next question - Is your gong drum on the right just a converted bass drum with matching shell and hoop or is the hoop bigger than the shell ?

thank's thomas, the drumset is a RMVi recorded in my mac ,garage band and one m=audio nova mic,puts on the the head of the jirafe....that;s it.

the gong drum is a basic bass with the original lhoop

Garage band can do amazing stuff. A collegue of mine uses it for his concepts and it sounds really great. The m-audio mic does a superb job - or is it the unusual mic-stand :) ?

I'm just building a gong drum myself - with an 18" shell and a 20" hoop - just as an experiment. If it works well I want to build one in 20" with 22" hoop in acrylics.
