  • No Vevo I do not want to watch Sexy and I know it... I actually have taste in music

  • this was my moms fav song i was about 11. i miss all this shit so much. lol

  • I heard this song on the radio in a gift shop today. When I got home, I had to go look it up. The bass line/bass's mix placement and synth sound in this song remind me of Sting's "If I Ever Lose My Faith In You." =) I LOVE when songs remind me of other songs without ripping them off. There is such an art to association!

  • I loved this song! I was in 4th grade when I found out about this song. Ever since then I've loved alternative/ rock music.

  • tell me all your thoughts on god cause i'd really like to meet her

  • WOW Thanks 4 postin' dis 1

  • chance must be systematically explored

  • @buryedalive I saw that too. In addition to to listening to this song because it's cool, sometimes I'll read the comments to see what people's "thoughts on God" are. I would classify myself as a henotheist.

  • 1:14

  • So reliving high school moments. This, counting crows, hootie, the verve pipe, greenday, etc....

  • {WINNING} :D

  • Just got done watching Empire Records and had to look this up. I'm 28 now, but I sure do remember the 90s with much fond nostalgia. I love the internet, don't get me wrong, but there's a certain...mood/feel/aesthetic to the 90s that I've been yearning for a lot lately. It wasn't that long ago, but it was such a different time.

  • @avedic it so was...i feel u, i miss the 90's....

  • @avedic Had you not mentioned your age I would have thought someone much older such as myself [43] had written this statement.I am refferring to your statement "It wasn't long ago ,but it was such a different time" That was very well said and so true.

  • @baxtersave96 Thanks :) I turn 29 tomorrow, so I'm starting to feel old lol. Though you'll probably roll your eyes at that. I was young, but my entire childhood/teen years were during that decade, so I definitely remember it. All the music...and of course that "aesthetic" I mentioned. It really is odd how each decade has such a distinct feel to it. With time, I'm sure the '00s will too. Makes you wonder what the '10s will be like to us in the future..

  • @avedic

I'm turning 50 in July '12, so guess what? It's NO difference what age U are...

Every 10 yrs. or so, the style of music changes, sometime for the better or

or worse... If you live a few more years, you'll just be glad to still be alive, trust me...

  • @JKKillerB Hey,,how bout I`m turnin 60 in May,,but guess what,,I like it all from the 60`s to even the latest stuff,,but i must say,,the 80`s had the best rock IMO,,but hey,,opinions are like assholes,,everyones got one...LOL

  • @Slumpnasty hell yea! "She's looking at you!" "No. She's looking at me!"....good song indeed!

  • Just for the record though, this is not a Christian song. I'm not trying to be a buzz-kill, but I mean jeez... just because a song has God in it doesn't mean it's time to zone-out and start praying. Come on people.

  • This song is very well written.

    90s rocked!!

  • @TheMightyS0ren Why? Why should I have to stfu when talking about how I love this music?

  • Song is good but if you listen to the entire album it actually kinda sucks

  • I miss 90s...

  • @bob1na Me too, best time of my life. The 2000s really suck!!!!

  • @bob1na ;_;

  • Doctor, Doctor, you're in for another shitty Christmas.

    Why?

Because you're still a fucking joke.

  • You're in for a shitty Christmas, JEWNIGGERS.

  • war vets shouldnt get it

  • Most music today sucks, to find good pop music, look to swedish and romanian house music, to find good rock, look to alternative: Skillet, Theory of a Deadman, to find a different kind of rock, look to indie: The XX, Matt and Kim, Foster the People, there is still good music that comes out today but most anything thing mainstream is a steaming pile of bull shit.

  • its funny how from 2000-2010 it was all about how everyone was missing the 80s and now that we are in a new decade now everyone would be starting talking about missing the 90s.

  • Good music is still made today...you just have to dig deep to find it...

though you do have to admit, everything is shit, tv is shit, pop. music is shit, movies are shit

  • What does the last quote mean? "One in Five cracks up"...

  • I like the "quotes" that are place in between the video. They are only seen for a split second. (really deep quotes).

  • It's not "old" any more, it's ORDERED. There's a distinct difference, CANADIAN CLOWNS CUSTOMS...

That "some old lady" you suffocated, like us and me in 1997, for not the first time, TONIGHT KILLED THE NEGTROID Race because of "indifference" which is now INSANE, EXTREME TERROR because not one "nigger" anywhere will survive this.

Mataphor is TOO LATE to defend as therer was not one offered in eitehr mine or my sisters CASE.

I WILL SEE YOUR RACE DIE. I WILL SEE YOU DIE, "sweet charity".

  • @BillyJimOMFG WTF? we were talking about music.

  • RELEASE IT.

Bye NEGROID. Just , as usual, too many excuses, the one.

  • I don't think you'll be using MY "Ace from Space"ing that. Goodbye, Jiggaboo...

This should take care of that fucker Mohammed too... and his local neighbour.

    COST association.

Like the "Gambino defense" you asked me to invent. COST ASSOCIATED with that attention of mine that was given.

  • a little more eclectic. My point is this. There is good music even in today's genres, one just needs to look a little harder. It does not help when the mainstream media embraces just this one genre. As an example, look at the top ten hits right now. You will find that most of them are in the genre I have described.

  • Here is my opinion on todays music. Take it as an opinion. I was born in the early 90's and have been exposed to a variety of music dating as early as the 50's. From this, new genres have been created, washing away older genres. Jazz is an example. Each decade has it's own "genre major", in which it is primarily associated with. Because of this, other music from the decade tends to be overlooked. What we are seeing currently is the uprising of hip-hop/pop, similar to the 80's but...

  • They got their name from being drunk one night and someone asked them what they did for a livin and said I'm a dishwalla at a restaurant

  • this is a really great song. im only 15 and i hate modern pop music i spend my time in the 90's and later.

  • i wish i could pull off the cool 90s guy short/long hair

  • I'm from the 90s, and I had totally forgotten about this song until I saw Dishwalla on an old episode of Charmed. This is such a great song! It's too bad that a lot of kids today will probably never bother to listen to all the great songs from past decades. To all those kids who do, way to think outside the box!

  • @raederle1000 dude i was born in 93 and all i listen to is late 80s early 90s with a little 60s/70s sprinkled in for good measure

  • greatest

  • just kill justine beiber :-D

  • I am 54...Listen to Uriah Heap...The original Lighthouse "one fine morning" Rare Earth "I just want to celebrate".Big Brother"......There are some quality groups today. Shinedown..Stone sour. If you get a chance to listen to a song on Kansas Masque album listen to "all the world" Every generation has some great music. Listen to Chris De Burgh's songs from his "Crusader" album. Music transends time.

    Doc

  • geeez. they don't make music like this anymore.

  • This is from back when music was about something.Today the music they play is centerd around a good beat with lyrics that any idiot could write. Im so sick of hearing rappers talk about how much money they have, or how many ho's they have. Even rap used to have some substance. It all flows with the duming down (spelt wrong on purpose haha) of our socety. Entertainment in genral is getting more and more ridiculous from Jersey Shore to today's music. I dont know what the answer is. Ill read a book

  • @bigred5992 Kill the corporations and their influence on everything. The nineties was the best decade for music in my opinion, after that with the exception of a very few groups, music went to hell.

  • I'm 20 and my favorite music remains to be 90's alternative and 90's rap. 311 (favorite band), Bush, Collective Soul, Eve 6, Counting Crows, DMB, Everclear, Fuel, Live, Gin Blossoms, GGD, Matchbox 20, RHCP, Smashing Pumpkins, Spin Doctors, Third Eye Blind, Tonic and many one hit wonders (more or less) Better Than Ezra, Blind Melon, Dishwalla, Filter, Semisonic, Seven Mary Three, The Verve. There is good music out there today but you cannot find it on the radio, got to look around for it.

  • I miss the 90's.Great music and styles.I really have not heard anything great in about 8 years:/

  • Very good song. It's meant a lot to me in these last few years.

  • @mikeejay63 and MaRiaMel29 thank you.

  • Dear bullies

See that boy you made fun of for reading a book? After that he committed suicide

See that girl you called fat? She is starving herself.

See that old man you just made fun of cause of the ugly scars? He fought for our country.

See that young boy you made fun of for crying? His mother is dying

Re post this if you are against bullying. I bet 95% of you won't.

Your life is probably not as harsh as theirs.

If it is... definitely re post :) help them out

  • He calls god a "she" just to get laid. Probably worked too.

  • @Sholmey1221 God must be a woman. No other creature can be as cruel and as wonderful simultaneously.

  • @founditnow54 Then why do we call God our Heavenly Father?

  • @founditnow54,years of spiritual confusion I found peace in the knowing that"WE"are God, manifested in physical form, I learned in grade school, EVERTHING is made up of Atoms moving at different frequencies,I will come to move at a higher frequency and exist in pure bliss as intelligent energy one with all, It's all just a fk'n matrix,HA! I will know in that Bliss only love and oneness with you,If your interest is peaked I have some simple reading that may rock the norm that we are all seperate.

  • @founditnow54 Well, the word is that 'He' _was_ a woman before men took over & started rewriting history.

  • @studmeow Where is this stated at all? Almost all accounts of God state God transcends gender. Written documents just use "He" because there isn't an appropriate word.

  • @MrJolla11 Just because these rednecks think 'In the beginning was the King James Version' doesn't mean you have to take it at face value. You seem to have discerned quite well that God is an entity that transcends known reality. The idea of God as a man suits the view of sexist narrow-minded rednecks: 'No WOMAN'S gonna tell me what to do!' Have you met any female atheists? No surprise there: since 'God is a man' this feeds their view of the world.

  • @MrJolla11 Some ancient pagan temples when viewed from the air, were constructed to have the basic appearance of female genitalia. Representing the 'Divine Mother'.

  • @MrJolla11 I think god is hermaphroditic :D

  • this is a great song those 46 people a not cool

  • Man i love this music. I am 12, but I HATE most of the stupid music these days. I love dishwalla, evanescence, linkin park, red hot chili peppers, etc. Rock mostly. no pop. I hate that most kids are music sheep and listen to what every one else is instead of picking what they really like. What is the world going to be like when this generation takes over in government?

  • @hippytreeloverperson Thank You, whew there may be hope for this world yet! Nice to see a younger person that likes actual music.

  • @hippytreeloverperson good boy!

  • @hippytreeloverperson the world is fucked when your generation takes over. I hope I am dead by then. But Im glad there are still a few of you that have some damn sense.

  • @hippytreeloverperson Good for you. Stay that way - never give into the sheeple!

  • 80s 90s and early 2000s = best eras of music ever

  • So many nostalgic people here. We'll miss the 2000's as well.

  • @Agpgtetetgp Speak for yourself... there is nothing about th2 2000 era of music that is memorable except the bands still making music from the 90s who were actually good and played what you may not have heard of before..... they played guitar solos.

Power chords and hack musicians killed real music..

  • i fucking hate vevo

  • "infinite deferral" Thats what I'm doing on my student loan.

  • Someguy singing this song:TELL ME ALL YOU'RE THOUGHTS ON GOD.

    Otherguy: Um...why?

Someguy: CUZ I REELY LIKE TO MEET HER!

    Otherguy: Um, I'm catholic?

Someguy: We count only blue cars.

Otherguy: Have you been listening to that song again while smoking pot?

  • WOW that last comment used every single letter i could :o

  • again with this gay shit with vevo i mean why would i want to hear this faggot ass music katy perry who the fuck is perry

  • the frontman..J.R Richards own composed music...A beautiful end...he compose the most beautiful song ever....

  • MAN I JUST LOVE THE 90S ERA...so WHAT IF IM 24..i hate music in this era...

  • @felicia8086 Ya know i'm 41 years old and in all my years of living I have never heard so many people say that they hate todays music. It's not just said by people my age but by younger people like you. So this is not just a generational thing it is true .Today's music does suck worse than any other decade in which I have lived. I too am a major 90s music fan and I think it was the last great decade for rock.

  • @lob287 Im 17 so I understand what you mean by there being no generational thing with this music, but i REFUSE to believe this was the last great decade of rock. As long as people my age don't like the popular music of the age there will always be people trying to bring their type of music back. There will always be bands somewhere who want to change today's music, and eventually one of them will do it. Just like the punk movement in the 70's and grunge in the 80's-90's... good music will return

  • @lob287 and ur right I agree with you and felicia. This to me was the last of the best of rock/grunge. I was about 14 when this song came out. I have always been in love with rock and the guy is hot too who sings lol he also have talent but I just dont c it anymore people with true pure talent nobody tells stories or sing about love, freedom and righteousness it just sucks!!!!

  • @lob287 Couldnt of said it better. And im only 20, and i already miss the music of my adolescent days.

  • @lob287 Well said, good sir/madam.

  • @lob287 im 27 but my father who is 53 taught me what good music is. ant from the papas and mamas till nine inch nails music has died after that. wtf is justin beaver? grunge and old rock n roll is the great music of this world. everything else is just a waste of time.

  • @lob287 ..... LOL yea, I'm 43. "A major 90's fan".. maybe because ya miss being a young 20 sumthing y.o. at the time. Missing those days myself.. definately better days back then compared to the present....WTF happened ? THIS AINT RIGHT

  • @lob287 I too am 41 and grew up listening to top 40 from birth till 89, took a break and followed The Grateful Dead 89-92 and listening to jam bands in college and got back to the 90s music in 93 when I graduated college and moved to Atlanta,GA and started listening to 99x their alt rock station..I was a very close minded person music wise from those years till I started listening to PJ,STP,Soundgarden,Alice In Chains, and Nirvana>other bands ... Widespread Panic still rocks to this day..HAAAA

  • @lob287 The death of rock n' roll came at the hands of it's own fans. When people began stealing music it was the beginning of the end. Film will be next to go.

  • @dualityofman999 When did it die?

  • @lob287 The reason for this is that there are many more places for you to hear criticisms of the current music. The internet wasn't the same as it is now. Believe me, you would have heard the same thing in the 90's with all the terrible boy bands and bad rap and crap like this (*Dishwalla). The 2000's were great for rock, and right now is just as good.

  • @tsferg Seriously that is just a load of shit

  • @lob287 How so? The 90's had some good stuff, but they had boatloads and dumploads and all kinds of loads of shit. Right now, I can go to a million music blogs and forums and comment sections and whine and complain about todays music. Don't you think there were 40 year olds in the 90's complaining that the 80's was the last era to truly rock that were just like you? You might be a bit naive if you think you are the first 40 year old to lose touch with what is cool with the youth.

  • @tsferg i am sure there were but i know people in there 60s that like music from the 90s. the 90s music not all but many of it has some actual meaning to it. music from today has no meaning but to be ignorant to ones self and others. and i am not 40 i am 21.

  • @mitchell6811 To say music from the 90s had meaning and todays music does not have meaning is a very rediculous blanket statement that is totally untrue and quite silly. there is some music that can be described as you said it, but the same can be said for 90s music

  • @tsferg what i mean is a majority of the main stream music today is like this. Yes there are songs from the 90s that were as well. Main stream music from today is entirely like this how ever. Very few songs today talk about anything other then how to be a self centered person. Everything is about money, cars etc...

  • @mitchell6811 - That's a broad generalization. If you were more thoughtful and selective regarding your musical choices, you would find what you're looking for. Read what you have written... "a majority of the mainstream music today is like this", and "Everything is about money, cars, etc...". You make very broad brush strokes, painting the music of today as shallow. Trust me, you could have found shallow music back in the mid 90s, or any other era, for that matter.

  • @JNugent74 absolutely i could find music like that from any era. only thing is i would have to look. today i just have to turn on the radio

  • @lob287 When I was a teenager in the 90's so many people said "today's music sucks, 80's music is so fun!" It will happen next decade and every decade after that.

  • @felicia8086 I'm 23 and amen to that. There is good music out there brother, but you won't find it on the radio.

  • @felicia8086 i'm pushing 50...and i LOVE 90s music. where has all the creativity gone?

  • @felicia8086 Every older generation says they hate the younger generations music and the younger generation just says "Crazy old person. Your opinions don't matter." It's a vicious cycle.

  • @husayn1972 Ahh I see, thanks Confucius.

  • @kinkyshenanigans You are welcome, Grasshopper.

  • @felicia8086 dude music is still good this era, you just need to look beyond the poppy bullshit of this era which yes is indeed crap and depressing, but music hasn't died. there are still plenty of great albums coming out.

  • @felicia8086 i am 24 and 100% agree. music nowadays is horrible

  • @felicia8086 hey, I'm 25, be thankful we were still able to appreciate the gems of the 90s, they were the soundtrack of our lives!

  • @felicia8086 yea im 23 and was very young in this era too but its always been my favorite music era as well

  • great!

  • We count only blue cars...

    :)

  • @BlueEyedBabeeDoll Jesus Christ, sorry

  • My dad started singing the chorus of this song "tell me all your thoughts on God id really like to meet her" right before he shot himself. guess thats some good last words.....

  • @BlueEyedBaybeeDoll sorry to hear that...thats to bad thanks for sharing that shit ass story with us!!!!!

  • is there another version of this song? where they add a little guitar after the first line of the chorus? I think I heard it once and I loved it!

  • i was like 32 yrs old running threw best buy.heard this song on radio tryin to find out,who the hell it was.and no shit was up on screen.so i got my cd,and even sadder was with my baby sister back in day.and she is gone,so when i hear now brings tears down my face.miss my sis jen.

  • This definitely takes me back to my freshman year in high school. Summer 1997.

  • how bout that snare drum huh ? tight ! :)

  • 2:42 One of the deepest moments in any song ever.
