  • I used to buy cheap cartoons when I was little and I remembered this one was my favorite! It made me so happy ^___^ Sunshine!

  • One of favorite cartoons on fifties TV

  • I remember this cartoon from my youth, it was on my mind for dome odd reason so I came looking for it!

  • I used to see this at Grateful Dead shows in 1969-70. Someone asked "Why?" I think he was being facetious but in case he wasn't, Sunshine was the name of a popular "brand" of Acid.

  • We're happy when we're sad!! Hahaha I LOVE this cartoon!!

  • this was originally an promotion for Borden's milk!!

  • So glad I found this old cartoon....Thanks for posting.... Just sent to my teenage kids , the grumpy people remind me of them sometime...

  • How bizarre! But, actually some really great animation for the 1930's!

  • I can't believe I was like 3 when I last saw this, 20 years flew fast x.x

  • My daughter watched this on a DVD over and over and over again when she was small

  • Snapeville. D:

  • Peggy Haine and Danny Hamburg fondly remembered this 1935 Van Beuren Studio cartoon, so here's "The Sunshine Makers":

  • I too loved this cartoon. First seeing it in the 1950s. It was paid for by Bordon's Mike Company. Three cheers for capitalism.

  • Thankyou for making this available . I remember watching this cartoon on TV as a young boy along with many other cartoons of the time(farmer Gray)

It has always been a favorite of mine. The last time I saw this was at a show at the Filmore east, except then it had a whole new meaning. I remember the audience cheering . I am glad to be able to view it once again at a new stage of my life, God Bless .

  • The message in this video is HYDROGEN PEROXIDE.

I challenge all people in the world to learn as much as they can about this "wonderwater"

Hydrogen Peroxide (H2O2) can help you in more ways than you possible could imagine. HP is what the drug companies does not want you to know.

  • @jaloken

As in it doesn't help you there fixed it for you.

  • 7 dwarfs spoof!

  • In 1935‽ It predates the Disney film.

  • In 1970, the Grateful Dead musical group would open its shows with this cartoon. I wonder why?????

  • Thank you so much for uploading a classic favourite of mine :)xx

  • I don't wanna be happy.. I wanna be sad...

  • I wish I had the drugs the animators used when they came up with this!

  • I don't think it was drugs. I think it was the paint used to color the cartoon and the fact that animation studios back then weren't all that well-ventilated.

  • Wow ... How Amazing! This Was My Favorite Cartoon When I Was A Kid. I'm Pretty Sure That They Showed It On The Mickey Mouse Club. That Song Sunshine-Sunshine Has Stuck In My Head For Years. It's Great To See It In Color!

  • I wish I could find the one with the Official Films logo in the beginning.

  • LOVE IT. BRINGS HAPPY MEMORIES

  • This cult favorite was also featured in the cult movie "Get Crazy".

  • snowman in july

  • I loved this when I was a kid in the 50's. I'm surprised I even remembered the name to google it. Now if I can find the cartoon with the rat that tries ri kill the kittens in a store...

  • there is one called the toyland caper kind of like that by van beuren studios

  • Sad elves >>>>>>>>> happy elves

  • This is the original print of the film (in Cinecolor), as it was initially a subtle "commercial" plug for Borden's milk products. It was independently produced and directed by Ted Eshbaugh: Van Beuren reissued it later that year without the "Borden" identification....

  • my favorite part was always the part when they're boiling that pinkish stuff...i dont know why lol

  • One of my favs, thanks for posting, 5* & favorites.

  • it's hilarious for this, though. this is more offensive and funny than most of Adult Swim.

  • Thanks for posting this wonderful toon. I used to watch it as a kid on the old Andrea b&w TV. It brings back fond memories, and a few scary ones, too.

  • I'm looking for an old cartoon called Snowman In July. I can't find it any where!

  • Google it. I tried and got a bunch of hits. One of them may be just what you wanted.
