  • they're not beta houses. that whole area is a background.

  • lol midna said "I WANT TO PET YOU"

  • did you guys know about Link from OOT has a grave in this grave hidden behind hyrule castle?! its a easter egg

  • @20linklover wait so is the Easter egg in twilight princess or OOT and how can I get to it

  • @kingoftwilight13 sorry i didnt clarify its in twilight princess and to get to it you know where the bommerang puzzle outside the castle get in that spot and use your wolf senses near the wall, dig in the spot and your at the gravesite! happy to help.

  • @20linklover ok cool ill take a look and I might make a video ill give you a shoutout since u pointed it out

Also which entrance to castle town is it near

  • @kingoftwilight13 ok thanks for the reconition, are you asking about HYRULE CASTLE or CASTLE TOWN?

  • @20linklover I think I'm the o.e who's confused here lol so is the Easter egg outside the castle as in the field area or in the castle as in where the marketplace is

  • @kingoftwilight13 sorry its not in castle town its in hyrule castle. not IN the castle but the outside of it where the courtyard is

  • @kingoftwilight13 Spoiler: The Hero's Shade is Link from OoT. His grave is the dark and gloomy back courtyard in the castle.

  • i'm amazed that the ground in OoB areas are solid at all

  • That was freaking sweet!!!!!

  • THATS NOT BETA!!!! beta is an unsued, full out area that was left out. this is only the backround!!!

  • @GuyPagani no shit i know that now keep in mind that this was like 2 years ago when i made this video and I didnt know what the hell i was talking about so there is no need to get dramatic, and read some comments next time you might learn somthing.

  • I wonder what the black shadow lines on the ground are... Looks like power line shadows =P

  • The first thing is NOT a beta, it's just scenery from when you look out the window in Link's house or something

  • how do you get your sword to do that?

i cnt get mine do do that spin thing you did to jump up there

  • secret skill find the golden wolf to learn one its the 6th of the 7th skills

  • it works on gc to!

  • why didnt they take the houses out

  • To get into the beta houses you have to wait until the dawn of the first day, then when you see Kafei leave the first purple house put on the keaton mask and use the Zora swim anywhere glitch to get into the area. Ok you are now in the area. Walk up to the first house, it is solid. Now wait until the night of the final day and all of a sudden you can walk into the first house. Inside Makau is waiting. He will play the song of healing and you will unlock a demo of Proffessor Layton 2!

  • You got two thumbs down with that comment? What, are people allergic to humor?

    I thought it was funny.

  • Nice! I wonder why they left beta things in the game.

  • the don't expect you to find it LOL! :D

  • Lol so from what this kid say's everthing in a map glicth is from a beta,

So that would explain the fish tank in rainbow six vegas lol. Ive been getting out of maps since 96 its just what you would call a backdrop.

  • that was so kewl lol

  • well, I believe it is beta

  • the first 1 was a beta area good job =[)

  • No... The First one was just a background so if people go to high then they saw the houses.. God people think if its hidden somewhere and you can only see it if ur high or can't be seen its beta... Like really.. So I never seen u before so ur beta??? LOL

  • Yes, the first is not a beta area.

  • this is what i found 3 months ago but i found out that u found this first and all u idiets beta means test area all you retards.

  • Beta isn't test area actually. It's called like that when the game (or object in-game) is still under development or incomlete.

  • YES THANK YOU BETA MEANS TEST

  • my coment as 6 months old. i dont have that game anymore so that as kinda randome for me.

  • This is not beta!

  • man its not a beta area at all. Cant you see they use this easy houses to create more shade frames?

  • Isn't that what beta areas are? Prototypes? They use "beta areas" to make new things or use it on it's own and make something new.

  • i think thats not... i know that these houses are only there because they wont use textures but its still interesting

  • Well the beta version of Ocarina of Time had very little texture.

But oh well. It doesn't really matter.

  • Cool i'm gonna try this with AR since i started my 3rd playthrough of the game so might as well anyway XD

  • Cool. Beta areas are always fun. :)

  • One day nintendo will make the ledges higher. The enviroment desingner probabally just got lazy.

    Nice Vid Though.

  • Nevermind. My timing was way off.

Maybe the textures aren't completely loaded. You can see the same rooftop from the platform by Link's door if you use the hawkeye. But it's not pink then either like it should be.

  • I can never get this thing with the bombs to work. x.x

  • HAHA "beta" ^^ xD

  • i dont like it when game creators fix glitches. when i finish a game i like to go find them

  • that was pretty interesting

  • first thing: these houses are visible from link's house. These are simpler because the processing power required to have everything at once would exceed what the wii had to offer. The nintendo designers didn't start with this.

  • Wrong, it would exceed everything the GAMECUBE had to offer. Don't forget, it was developed with the Gamecube in mind, the Wii is capable of alot more polygons and effects on the screen.

  • Yes, but the actual game, as you said, was developed on the gamecube. The port wasn't a new game. almost all the same algorithms and models were used. This means the limitations from the gamecube were ported to the wii, and so were the simpler houses. Besides, they didn't need very complex ones, because you only half see them. Also, certain places in hyrule field load new areas without transitions. This makes the game lag. Imaging if everything in the game was like that.

  • I hear it mostly just lags on the Gamecube version. The Wii version, I've yet to have any trouble with. I know there's no need for detail but you made it sound like the Wii was only as powerful as a Gamecube, a statement ignorant Ps3/360 fans have tried to claim.

  • the gamecube has no lag nor any thing wrong withj it becauser it is the same thing and polgons -idk - as the game cube meaning it does not contain lag

  • I really hope you aren't suggesting the Wii is the same as the Gamecube, because I could write a book with all the differences in hardware.

  • I'm sorry if I made it look like the wii was as powerful as the gamecube. In truth, it's like an amped up gamecube. It uses the same game disk format, and almost the same operating system(I think), making ports to it from the gamecube almost identicall to the gamecube version, except they run faster.

  • Not true. Infact, according to Factor 5's statement, the Wii can do almost all the effects the Ps3 and 360 can, except for HD of course. Considering Factor 5 made the gorgeous Rogue Squadron and Rebel Strike on Gamecube, I think they know what they're talking about.

  • Yes, or almost similar results. The problem is that the first generation of Wii games were made with modified GC programming kits, and while the other consoles have areas in hardware with light functions and other stuff already programmed, with the Wii they have to program them with the game, so at first (when people thought it was going to be a flop) devolopers didn´t program them, but now that they know that Wii sells good they are making better graphics. We´ll see the results this year.

  • Many of them were even lazier than THAT and used Ps2 development kits, resulting in even worse graphics. The Conduit is a great example of an engine specifically for Wii.

  • I agree and I hope to see more games on Wii like this. I didn´t know that a PS2 devolopement kit could work on Wii.

  • Apparently it does.

  • I ask because it sounds strange. I mean: games made with GC kits can run on Wii because Wii´s hardware is based on GC but with more power (a lot more) in order to make the console compatible with the past generation, but PS2´s hardware is completely different. Anyway, maybe programmers know how to solve that.

  • Maybe they ARE using Gamecube dev kits and I got them confused with one another. All I know is the Wii's being bullshitted. Hollywood and IBM made the video card and processor specifically for the Wii, but they may as well have ripped them out of the Gamecube, with the way they're being utilized.

  • Of course. I´m not saying that Wii is a new version of GC. Just that it´s technology is based in the technology devoloped for CG to ensure retrocompatibility. I already know that ATI designed the Hollywood GPU and IBM the Broadway CPU both specifically for Wii, and both are more powerful than what people says. People doesn´t really know what can Wii do. In fact, only ATI and Nintendo know really what Wii can do.

  • Of course, it's the same way with computers. The GeForce 8800GT was most likely based on the same technology as video cards before it. The Ps3 and 360 are most likely somewhat based on the technology before it if they're able to have backwards compatibility.

  • Hey, I enjoyed talking about this with you. Many people talk about consoles and they have no idea of what they say. (In a lot of "serious" articles you can see that people still believe that a CPU´s power can be measured only with it´s MHz... Even in IGN!) I even readed a comment here in Youtube of a person that believes that Wii doesn´t have GPU or CPU...

  • LMFAO at Wii not having a GPU or CPU. What does it run on then, love? xD

  • Yeah, when I readed that I just could think two things: OMG WTF!!!!! It was a funny comment. She was really convinced about it.

  • Even the NES had a CPU and GPU. They were extremely simplistic but they were there. =P

  • Even the Nintendo TV Game Color had CPU.

  • Well... they were three things: OMG-WTF-LMAO

  • Like I said, it's a boosted engine, capable of more than the gamecube. But the wii still is based around the gamecube, and not a completely reinvented system.

  • Like I said, computers are the same way. PCIe video cards have the same technology as the earlier ones.

  • ok im not gona call any of my vids about glitches like this beta anymore so no bad comments on any of them plz

    thank you,

    kingoftwilight13

  • also more detail wasn't necessary anyway. from distance with some trees in the way, it wouldn't matter if there are windows or none :)

  • kingoftwilight13, you are completely wrong. this is NO beta leftover. your so called beta village had to be placed there in order to fill the area you can see when you look through the window in links house. it just doesnt look as detailed as the real village in order to

    - save memory

    - run the game without any problems due to ram limitations

i hope i could clear things up :)

  • i found a beta area in the tree in ordon village

u know that bit on trunk that u cant get onto?

i used jump strike to get on

  • Lol thats not beta, it's just not fully loaded vvillage for saving up processor and that stuff

  • Just LODs... it doesn't make sense to wast processing power for areas you do not use in the actual area. so there are just the roofs for imagine that ther's ordon village.. not beta... even because it looks like beta oot on the graphics side ;)

but nice glitchusing :) and please play 16:9 ;)

  • Uh, thats not beta, the game just doesn't load that section because you are supposed to go down the path into the town section.

  • so why is anything there at all? i think he's right

  • So the area where the town is isnt empty. It's kinda like background paintings in games.

  • Well it was a nice vid. But these areas are not BETA... They are just not made the same way as in the real map... And the reason to that is because saving space on the game-disk. So I guess it can't be called a beta... But who cares... It was a nice vid, and I love that bomb way to get to places... Using it all time^^

  • Hey, after seeing this video, I tried it, and I did it! Amazing.

  • thx^^ glad u were able to^^

  • I´m going to watch all your zelda videos. I love watching wierd things in videogames, like glitches, beta things, or LOD-textures (I don´t know the meaning of this, but DemonFoxDeity said that the houses were this). Zelda TP must be full of beta stuff, because I readed that the zelda devoloping team had to cancell a lot of things that they were going to put in the game because they had little time to finish it...

  • oh well thx and i hope u enjoy them^^

  • Are you able to go into those beta places? Or is it blocked by an invisible wall.

  • well when i did the one in the vid wen u saw the houses, if u jumped off the edge u would fall into an abyss and then restart to where u were^^

  • cool!

  • ive been trying to comeplete that glitch or whatever you call it for a while nwow

  • Thats not BETA...lol

Beta is places that were in the Game before release but where taken out in the final Game.

THAT are the LOD-Textures (Level of Detail) that is set in the Distance, because it would take a lot performance to put in the houses in their real Textures.

  • That's the first thing I thought when I saw this.

  • woooooooooooo 300 views thx all^__^

  • Its not really a beta its just a extra just to show where ordon is like if you see it if your doing something, I used AR to see it.

  • Awesome

  • not bad at all 5/5

  • thanks
