  • how could she have copied this from lady gaga? this was uploaded in 2006... come on people.

  • is there an instrumental version ?

  • Thank you, Dolce &Gabbana, for sending me to this version :)

  • This the best version of the song I have ever heard!XD

  • Luv Dolce & Gabbana!

  • I met a girl in east la, in floral shorts, as sweet as may.....

  • Fashion TV sent me here.

  • Miss M, Miss M.

I could not love you more!

  • i'm here because of the Dolce & Gabbana show :D

  • YES! DOLCE & GABBANA

  • I loved this version, played on the Dolce & Gabbana S/S 12 show

BTW, the beginning sounds like "Americano" by Lady Gaga, which she have might copied.... (nothing new on her)

  • @AGVF88 lol considering this song was done way before Gaga yeah she probably sampled from it.

  • Love you bette ! <3 (x Yoour youngest fan , 12 <3

  • the biggening is like americano by lady gaga

  • awesome :D

  • I love this song I've listened to dean martins and rosemary clooneys version but this kicks thier ass !! :D

  • I wish my boobs were like the lady lying on top of the radio!

Oh yeah, I like this song too! :)

  • This is really a song for a feminine voice! I first listened to this piece played by Renato Carosone and I thought it was great, but this is greater!

Anyone remembers the declining in the movie "Who`s Afraid of Virginia Woolf ?": goot-better-the beast-BEASTED

I could say that Renato Carosone were beasted!

  • Divine Miss M!!

  • I like this one, but I LOVE Danielle Hopes version better (:

  • nice......

  • Olive Garden is CRAP. It's AMERICAN version of Italian food. Like McDonalds! You gotta go to a REAL Italian restaurant if you want Italian food that's authentic and GOOD!!!!! I love Bette Midler!!

  • @DesperatelyKind I know, you have to go to places like Geovani's to get the real deal.

  • interesting version... HOWEVER, the music sounds to latin for this song...

  • Nice cover, but no cigar, not even close to Rosemary Clooney.

  • I love this version too

  • anche per me questa e' la versione piu' bella:mette una voglia irrefrenabile di ballare!

  • great!

  • i love this song! this version is really really good to! :D

  • I'll always associate this song with Dean Martin and Rosemary Clooney, but I thought Bette Midler did a good job on it.

  • I love Bette, but give me Rosemary Clooney singing this one.

  • @debthebob;Ditto.

  • como siempre la diva gran version de esta cancion bravo bette .

  • This version of Mambo Italiano drives me wild! It makes me want to dance! I still say that Mambo Italiano should be played at Bertucci's and The Olive Garden Restaurants. Please feel free to reply. :)))

  • Well this is a good version, I still like Rosemarys version better. As far as the Olive Garden reference,. Ducks If any part of their restaurant is italian its most likely the dishwasher "Enzo"

Go to Italia and enjoy real Italian cooking

They are not an American over the top cheese fest with weak pomadori sauce

with no Garlic and no real Basil and true italian flair. I know, I lived it and traveled through Italia and I have the Chefs Papers to prove this. Food is a joy to give and enjoy

  • @tinroofbusted "If you're gonna be a square, you ain't gonna go nowhere"

    Enough said !!!

  • absolutely fab

  • no comment for this song,it is apsolutely amazing=)it is the best recipe for a bad day;)

  • one word..... limewire

  • one word.... limewire

  • Love this version, BETTE is a GODDES, LOVE HER SO DAMN MUCH!

  • This song should be played at all the Bertucci's and Olive Garden Restaurants all across the United States! It's absolutely perfect because the song itself is Italian! :)

  • This song just makes me want to dance and sing! It also makes me get really happy and giddy! :)

  • I love this version and, I love the Rosemary Clooney version. There is room in the world for both versions..

  • It is just good for chachacha.

  • Trovo forte la somiglianza fisica tra Bette Midler e Donatella Moretti! Non lo trovate anche voi?

  • Assolutamente! Le due faccia sono simili.

  • This is my favorite Bette Midler song! I really like singing it whenever I am able to do so. Also,it makes me laugh a lot! :)

  • Wow she does this song soooooo good

  • @linda9pin everyone feels italian in a way ;)

  • bette is a goddess.

  • Hey mamboo : D

  • Oh you have not seen adoreable till you see my 10 month old daughter listen to this version of this song! I played it 4 her one day, now I have to play it for her every morning. She doesnt say mama, she says mombo! lol, I'm glad she loves Bette like I do. She is a true vegas baby! lol

  • I love Bette and Rosemary....This is a great update of a classic!

  • Thanks for posting this! This is the danceable version of Mambo Italiano!

    Bette Midler is still HOT!

  • Love you bette midler\

  • fun song

  • Bette Midler did this cover as a TRIBUTE to Rosemary Clooney. Both amazing women :)

  • one of the best versions of this song. and I don't particularly dig Miss M

  • this is a wonderful, sexy version! a cover isn't meant to be better, just a different version.

  • Great cover by Bette, this track finds a solid groove and has some nice textures. I know a lot of the people posting here don't like this version, but word is that Rosemary Clooney absolutely HATED recording the Italian songs. She was pretty much forced into that material by A&R schmucks at Columbia like Mitch Miller (don't get me started on him). Listen to this whole album, it's actually very tasteful, and respectfully done. Thanks for the post - Rosemary & Bette, both national treasures!!

  • I like this version a lot better.

  • bravo!

  • Very good version of the song. Rosemary Clooney's original in my opinion is a classic.

  • Respect from Bette`s German-Syncro-Voice (Rose and more)

    Joseline Gassen from Berlin (Germany)

  • I love this version, actually :)

  • OOooooooohhhh Never mind.

  • The song is about some one going back to Italy for the "old fashion" ways and being surprised at how much things have changed ... no mozzarella but you can get an enchilada. Hence Mambo( a Cuban Dance) Italiano (Napoli) a mixing of the cultures.

  • I did a dance for school on this song once and I LOVE IT! So full of beat!

  • I figured out what is bugging me about this version of the song. She is pronouncing the words too clearly. It doesn't have that slightly drunk sound that Dean and Rosemary both brought to it.

  • I love Bette and I love this song, but there's just no need to remake what was done to perfection the first time around...If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

  • "Fixing it" isn't the point of doing a cover.

    - Ashe <3

  • Aye, but to cover something that was PERFECT is pointless. There's no different approach you can take to make it better, so why bother? Sure, I guess this is Bette's version, but I would much rather listen to Rosemary's (b/c it's perfect...).

  • In music... in ANYTHING... there is no such thing as perfection. Sure, her version is GREAT, but Bette's is great in a DIFFERENT way. To say there's no point in covering something because it's been done "perfectly" is like saying, "Well, this shelter made of sticks and mud gets the job done so there's no point in trying something different." If people didn't experiment with different things we wouldn't have so much variety in our world.

    - Ashe <3

  • My point being -and I say this as a cover artist- doing something again, but differently isn't always a strive towards improvement. I'm sure Midler simply enjoyed this song. I don't think she was trying to outdo Ms. Clooney. And what would be the point of THAT?

    - Ashe <3

  • Look up Tech N9ne "imma tell" he sampled it

  • wow i love this song, so catchy :D

  • Comment removed

  • I love how she smiles with her voice. Its likee whoaaa. =]

  • shaking my hips right now

  • like it!

  • I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS VERSION! :-D

  • ohh mambo italiano ! Rocks

  • he he..mambo :D

  • Everyone has their own opinion. My opinion is Bette Midler is amazing. I love this song regardless of whether or not she is or isn't italian.

  • b midler is jewish, orig. rosie clooney is german-irish, so?

  • b midler is the better version hehe

  • Not only is bette not italian, but she said in a interview, that she really didn't know too much about rosemary clooney!! Ah yes, but whatever we can make money with!!! Got to love it.

  • u guys are all idiots. Rosemary Cloney was indeed an amazing singer but her version of mabo italiano was uninspired with limited vocl range. The Devine Ms. M did a teriffic rendition on this song and i listen to it over and over again

  • I love Bette but she can't hold a candle to Clooney, no way and no how!!!

  • what that hell is this. is she even italian???????

  • Does she need to be? Following this logic, we should only sing the song of our own ethnicity and not enjoy those of others?!?!?

  • There was a time when people said "Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery". I love both versions and I salute Bette for not trying to do an exact remake, that would flatter neither her nor the great Mrs. Clooney.

  • I agree. Bette's good but I still prefer Alma Cogan's version. More expression and talent all round. But having said that, Bette is quite good at glitz and glamour too.

  • original is much better... :/

  • Come on people, it isn't that bad. Bette does a good job with all of her songs. Personally, Rosemary's version is my favorite, but that doesn't mean that this sucks. She did a fine job.

  • I like Rosemary Clooney's version.

  • she didnt do this good.

    i love bette midler though.

  • I like Bette Midler, but this does'nt even come close to Rosemary Clooney's.

  • i love this song

  • i luv this version

  • krááásne:Dprd rozumiete co som sem napisala ale nevadi:)

  • I really like Bette, but much prefer the version by Rosemary Clooney. Maybe because I grew up with the fabulous voice of Rosemary.

  • original version is better.

  • I love How she sings with a Smile!! =]]

  • looove the song

    IT'S the BEST .. =)

  • Amazzzzinnnngggg Mambo italiano

  • BEST version! Thanks Bette! (thanks Varla1)

  • fabulous - so awesome!!!

  • Molto brava!

  • this is my tap dance song!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • LOL, I first thought you said LAP dance song!

  • Hey, I could totally give a lap dance to this song.

    Thanks for that great idea.

    - Ashe <3

  • Yes she's the one for this song !

  • Rock on Bette!

  • omgg i love it!

  • I totally forgot Bette Midler sang!

    She actually sounds pretty good

  • i love this song!! I'm a dancer and I am competeing with this song!!!! yay!

  • tape it and post it to youtube, please!

  • My dance school is doing this song too :O I think they sped it up a bit though, good luck!

  • I choreographed this version! Yay!

  • Betty Midler is the best!!!!

  • Rosemary's version is better.

  • totally agree! much much better! what a voice.

  • Bette Midler can do no wrong..she gets better each year..what a 'National Treasure'....Diva La Bette!

  • She sings with a smile in her voice. Grest rendition.

  • You just have to love Bette's beautiful voice!

  • oo i love the instruments in this song not to mention the singing!!

  • love it !!! bete did a awesome job of this !!! thanks for this !! xxx<3 bette

  • this great!!!

  • This is ever better than Rosemary Clooney, loved it !!!

  • bette midler is so great!!! i love her

  • Betteee,nice performance!Bravissimooo LOL

  • Checkout Gemay-Mambo italiano

  • Go see the fantastic version by

Gérard Darmon (such a grainy voice)

    (for Muppets fans too!).

  • I love how she sings this.

  • Nice! Clooney is still my go-to girl for this song, but I can't speak badly of Midler because she's a great environmentalist. Great rack, too.

  • knmjad;lsj

  • Only Bette could do this song justice, besides, of course Ms. Clooney. Very Classy!!

  • The visual sucks but Bette Midler really blows my skirt up!

  • I also prefer Dean or Rosemary's version but Bette could sing the dictionary and make it magical.

  • what's dat radio please? internet radio? may i have the url? i like the image...the pin up looks like Dita von Teese, isn't it? i prefer the Rosemary Clooney or Dean Martin version by the way...

  • but i like the emodulation that was cool

  • Kudos to Bette Midler for honoring the late Rosemary Clooney, who flourished between the big band era and rocknroll. Clooney always was my favorite from that particular time in musical history.

  • yeah rosemary clooney is one of my favorites too. Bette Middler did wonderfully!

  • There is an excellent version by Valeria, a Russian singer. Unfortunately, it's been removed from YouTube. I had it in favorites.
