They did say that our solar system is only 4 billion years old yet our galaxy is 10 billion years old. Whats to say there aren't any galaxies out there that are hundreds of billions of years old with civilizations at least 500 thousand years more advanced than ours .This would explain why their technologies seem like magic to us,we just don't have the ability to understand it yet.

no because religion is not a simple logical theory, it plays on emotional fields to. Believers would make cognitive dissonance (has they always did,by now logic and fields of scienc elike biology and physics have already prove they r wrong) and keep on going with their beliefs and brainwashing their kids to keep going..
