I went to film school in Ithaca, NY which is also part of the upstate area. We still got a ton of snow there too.

In April I was filming outside at night and it was snowing. SNOWING in April! I had my actors mention it, even though it was not in the original script. How could I ignore it? You have to improvise in the conditions you shoot in at times.
