Kitth! That's the one that yelled at me when I laid my sleeping bad not 30 feet from it in the dark on West Fork in the San Gabriel Mountains. I managed to sneak up on it and trap it up against the hillside and it stood staring at me for 3.5 hours before I covered my face with my hat since it started raining and it screamed at me. Yeesh! Woke me up.
@CougarMagic LOL! No, not a fish story. I walk up Highway 39 pushing my bike and riding it on the down hill parts in the dark of night, during the Summer I do it every other week end all the way to Cogswell or Crystal Lake. After 25 years I've had only the one mountain lion experience but lots of bears sniffing over me. :)

@NotSoOldHippy If I didn't know you, I'd call that a fish story - but I believe it! (too far from the West Fork to be the same cat tho of course)
