@jordannet @jordannet that the music soothes her baby. Many Dr's recommend playing classical music softly even in utero and there are even products out there designed specifically for that purpose. Studies have shown that children who listen to classical music in utero show increased brain function as well (nature or nurture). Either way I think it is not only acceptable but even beautiful that the mother used this wonderful talent to soothe her crabby baby instead of going the coddling route.

@CT6Flags Coddling would be if she ran to pick her baby up EVERY TIMT IT CRIED. It only teaches the baby that it gets its way by crying and will likely snowball into other behavioral issuesas it grows. We are assuming this nice looking lady does not leave her baby in a diaper full of shit all day and is not neglecting its needs (food/milk) to practice the violin but rather choosing a different measure to provide comfort...music, NOT holding. If you want to TAKE ORDERS from your 2yr old go for it
