Sorry for your luck. Fan Expo has two very disappointing rules: Even going to the bathroom will likely cost you $50 so bring lots of money, and if you leave the building make sure you don't want to come back. Me and my friends always bring extra cash for the food in the con and granola bars for our pockets.
@EtherSkunk Ya i know. But unfortunatly who ever was running it thought it would be a good idea to have 1 Pizza Pizza stand in there and nothing else.
The Expo was a mess for organization but I managed to luck out the entire day. I was the 4th person to get onto the floor from the main entrance.
I knew of the side entrance in the underground section of floor 2 that was for re-entry only. I left around 11:30, came back at 2 and walked straight into the building by flashing my wristband to the security guard manning the door.
Instant access, no lines. There were ~1000 people who had wristbands on Front St. waiting to get in when that happened.
Ya i said i shoulda known. It's just that even when we were waiting an Hour and a Half before in line, Nobody came around saying it would cost that much, nor was there any information about it up at the front of the line, plus a staff memeber was telling people it was free as long as we would wait. So it was just alot of randomness
@VReign ya the back door behind the south building was open and when i told the guy there he said dont worry about it people were coming in through back entrances
There were two ways to get back in, one way was to wait by an exit only (cant open from the outside) and enter when someone exits or go to the hotel beside the convention center because it was connected to it.
Ugh. That was a mess. I was gonna go out to get lunch, but then saw that people weren't being let in soo.. i just hung around and waited for a panel to start. Apparently they were still selling tickets for a bit as well. It was very crowded. You'd think they'd have been better prepared. Hopefully tomorrow won't be as bad =s
If only i was going tomoro. But unfortunatly it was only a one day thing for me :'( But hopefully next year i'll have the money for a weekend pass and get a bit more done. Have fun tomoro. And good luck :P
I was at Fan Expo. I was about to step outside for lunch when I heard people weren't being allowed in, so I decided to skip lunch and go back to the main floor. But then they wouldn't let us go back upstairs so I had to stay in the screening room area. Luckily I looked at the whole main floor before going downstairs. They were really unorganized this year.
Agreed. I acually didnt get to spend any of the money i brang (As i said XD) Because i was standing in line to see people for most of the day. It really is one of those conventions that has to be a weekend thing though. Defenatly gotta remember that for next year
holy crap. i just heard about this now, cuz i only went the friday. but that just cruel! especially since admission isnt cheap! omg i had to play to get bill moseley's autograph (i didnt even get a photo cuz u had to pay for that too). but i did it cuz im a hardcore fan of his and hes awesome :). but ya i wasnt used to paying cuz i once did a meet and greet with voice actor vic mignona and he didnt charge for pics of autograph. but wow. it was super crowded indeed

It's just that they didnt tell us we would have to pay until we were half way through the "Main" Line so it kinda took me by suprise. Luckily though i had money on me for once XD And i can live with paying 40$ for Stan Lee's Autograph. Like you said, I'm a really big Marvel Fan and this is a "Once In A Lifetime" Opertunity for me and i couldnt pass it up :P

Ooh I'm looking at checking out next year's. What was the cost to just get in? There's no prices on their site yet.

i agree with everything but you should have known they charge for autograph it is mention in a lot of places and in forums and such
