  • you could be an ODST.

  • How low was your opening?

  • 3:19

    FREEEEEEEEDDDOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMM WOOOHHOOOO

  • This is the same height as Mount Everest summit

  • 4:02 The moon and one of your buddies I guess

  • the action starts at 3:20

  • bloody hell.....just papped my pants just watching it.

  • GO AGAIN.................

  • that guy lokks a lil bit bored :D

  • Wuw, 2 minutes of free fall.... Must be a rush!

  • Nice and quiet after the chute is open.... I know nothing about skydiving what is the rate of decent once the chute is open?

  • id be afraid of reechoing back and not being able to find the handle

  • Gah! That be the most amazing experience ever!

  • That was a pretty boring jump!! Pretty much a waste of a jump since it was a solo belly from high altitude.

  • Pfft this is nothing, I've been dropped into the Kalahari desert, carrying nothing more than a toothbrush and a pack of Sherbet Lemons, and I still found my way to Bulawayo before Ramadan.

  • what height did you open your parachute ?

  • RIP Headphone Users immediately after jump.

  • hi, sorry if my question will be dumb :D is it possible to jump in HALO style without being a solider?

  • Is it possible to wingsuit from that height. I know the main uses for wingsuits and what not, I'm just wondering are there any technical difficulties that would make such a high altitude jump with a wingsuit impossible?? Cause you could travel so far. Great vid

  • Wow, you can do tandem HALO jumps?

  • Nice video

  • what mask respirator are you using

  • imagine the speed you could get going head down or in a sit!

  • What would happen if u open the chute litaraly just after.jumping...dumb queation

  • @jettastreetracer It's called a HAHO or High Altitude, High Opening.

It would take a long frickin time to reach the ground. They use it mostly to get cargo on the ground safely.

  • I would love to deploy at 17,000

  • Why jump out of a perfectly good airplane?

  • Any tips on how to parachute if your scared of heights?

  • @WhatsASubscriber step1: put on parachute

step 2: have friend push you out of plane

  • LIKE A BOSS

  • what altitude did you pull your cord? whats the lowest you can pull thats considered safe?

  • @jeffcreber098 I liked the transition just prior to- and post- chute deployment. 5:30 to 5:35. Must have been an awesome feeling. I am curious, can we get a civilian HALO certification?

  • @DescentIntoChaos1 There is a couple places in the States where civilians can Halo jump that I know of, and I am sure many more around the world. Just google it.

  • Hand the camera to someone else player...

  • Fist Pound at 0:56 FTW

  • This is so badass

  • Shackle? Are you talking about the 3 ring release system? Probably THE most safest and proven systems in the world of skydiving today, been in use sense the 1970's. Oh and the idea of not having any other options "if" something goes wrong? How about the fact he has a reserve parachute still packed away. Not to mention this little computer thing called an AAD that would auto deploy his reserve chute if he was still moving at terminal under low altitude. Not trying to be a dick, just educate ;)

  • 30 000 km HELOO

  • 6:11 Just looking at that shackle and knowing that this little peace of metal holds your life in its hands, and if it were to let go there is nothing you could do about it. Now thats scary.

  • Why was i expecting a cooler plane..?

  • The SEALS might have have sophisticated HALO rigs with supplemental oxygen but the don't have basic video editing software.

  • loose*

  • WHAT A RUSH! Sunset jump at 30k feet??? I wish I could do that. I couldn’t help to notice your reserve flap is lose.

  • @cbakkum35 ..hahaha... good catch... actually it isn't loose... it was just a brand new Rig with only a half dozen jumps and hadn't been broken in yet

  • @jeffcreber098 so how and where do i do this?

  • @jeffcreber098 awesome jump man ,longest freefall ive done is 65 sec not a patch on that ,im so jealous ,respect ,regards keff.

  • @cbakkum35 no screaming..lol

  • that is wow !!!

  • Amazing video

  • I'd like to point out from his posturing that this guy was going somwhere around 145-175 MPH for a good minute or so. and probably 117-125 when he pulled his schute. and held on to a f'ing camera. Don't like it's angle? Go jump with your own camera. Nice Vid Jeff. Good Angle of entry.

  • @DevilDocKai ... after accelerating to terminal velocity shortly after exit... my altimeter logged a top speed of 198 mph

  • @jeffcreber098 Forgive me if I'm being dumb as I am know skydiving expert. But how could you have been going faster than terminal velocity? I thought the entire point was that it is the terminal, or maximum speed which can be achieved by gravitational acceleration, which is around 120-130mph. ???

  • @dancingdorris1 Inertia from the plane and wind my friend, wind.

  • @dancingdorris1 Terminal velocity would be relative to the wind resistance. The higher you go, the thinner the atmosphere is, allowing you to go faster that what might be achievable at sea level. Check out the Wikipedia page on Terminal Velocity, specifically the examples.

Notice Kittingers speed? The sky diver numbers given, likely aren't at this altitude, but instead are to more normal altitude.

Essentially, terminal velocity is not a constant.

  • @jeffcreber098 I thought the terminal velocity of a skydiver was ~120mph? Or is it because at 30000ft the air is thinner and doesn't slow you down as much?

  • @jeffcreber098 so 200 mph is terminal velocity for a person?

  • who cares man just enjoy the video!

  • Why do they keep calling these video's HALO jumps.. High Altitude Low Open, yet these people are always opening their chute at an altitude that can be detected by radar..

  • @FunkteonRecordings ...national sport parachuting associations mandate a minimum parachute opening altitude of 2200 feet AGL... and the term HALO actually refers to "High-altitude low-opening (HALO) operations are jumps made with an exit altitude of up to 35,000 feet mean sea level (MSL) and a parachute deployment altitude at or below 6,000 feet above ground level (AGL)."

  • @jeffcreber098 Except military halo jumpers open as low as 800 ft. 1500 ft is normal for combat jumpers. He is in full military gear he isn't doing it for sport.

  • @acekazel ...nice try.. since this is my video of MY jump.. and I was at a USPA governed dropzone.. and i'm not terribly keen on having my Sport Parachuting license pulled...

1500 feet is common for throwing static line airborne troops out the door of a herc... but with a freefall rig.. it can take 500-800 feet for your canopy to open if it snivvles... and any automatic activation device in any rig.. would have fired already deploying your main parachute by 1100 feet as a last ditch measure

  • @jeffcreber098 heh it takes 1000 ft for my canopy to open from 13k, nice vid. I wish I can afford 30k ft jump.

  • @acekazel - a MFF HALO jump is one that involves freefall time, as apposed to a HAHO jump which is basically a glorified hop 'n' pop. To get under radar in flat terrain you would have to pull at a couple of hundred feet which you cant really do with a freefall rig.

  • @toneuncagefire Well, you are wrong.

  • @snobord786 - where am I wrong?

  • Sweet!

  • pfff the only thing we can se is his head !!!!??? pfff what e shit !!

  • SUPER !!!!!!

  • i bet thats cold as hell

  • man this is awesome, aff compared to this is cupcakes. so going to do this

  • Good ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

  • visor goes up... Matt Daaammonnn

  • That's more of a HAHO jump.

  • @fragdaddy247 he freefalled for about 2 mins, it was a HALO

  • @spikespeigel High Altitude LOW OPENING. That wasn't low my friend. Low is typically under 4,000 feet.

  • @fragdaddy247 wrong

  • @fragdaddy247 no...no it isnt

  • @jeffcreber098 What alt did you open at?

  • @OneSkiWonder 3000 ft AGL pull altitude.. canopy snivvled until about 2200 feet i was under a control-able canopy

  • @jeffcreber098 Thanks. :) That's so cool! I want to do a HALO sooo bad! 14,000 feet just doesn't have the same Aww effect that it used to. :) I'd also love to own one of those helmets with the lense/oxygen mask. Any ide where I can pick one up?

  • I wish I had seen atleast anything of the view, but nice jump tho

  • damn, how much did this cost??

  • best part is how i cant see shit the whole time, its not that hard to strap a gopro to a helmet man

  • ya all i see is your bitchass i dont even see the backround all i see is the back of your head

  • Must be an awesome feeling. I like how you feel the speed die down post chute opening. Amazing.

  • Not that "LO"...

  • I love these helmets. They look so cool^^

  • @sTyLaQUi they cant breath without them...

  • My nan used to do this @ Weston on the green ~ Great Vid tho' a little shakey.

  • its a high altitude jump not HALO as the title describes. Id be tempted to open way high and have a super long canopy ride.

  • I thought on HALO jumps you'd open alot lower than that.... :/

  • @CplButters yeah I thought the same thing at first but realized at that altitude they gain a lot more speed than a typical 5,000 foot skydive so they haft to open higher from the ground to make sure they come down slow enough

  • @ImminentFatality Haft? It's HAVE!

  • @torquesport typo

  • Save 3 minutes of your life, they jump at 3:20

  • @stubby692007

thanks with this 3 minutes i can watch other crap :P

  • @stubby692007 Thanks man ))) most helpful comment.

  • @stubby692007 i just now realized that when this comment when they humped no joke..

  • What a RIDE!!!

  • bbbbbbbbbbbbsssssssssssssssssscccccccccccccccccccccchhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

  • @rubenmanssens

lol my toilette sound like this :D

  • well I guess your cover is blown, next !!!

  • is that Jason Bourne ?????????????

  • Ok.And how many minutes takes flight in HAHO parachute jump? When you jump from 10 000 meters/33 000 feet. And how far you can glide? Does HAHO jumps need different equipment? More oxygen cylinders?

  • Lowest height at which you can open the parachute? Special Forces can use these parachutes?--> /watch?v=mt4biNan_JA&feature=related Slowly opening? Soldiers Delta Force or Navy SEALS parachute opens directly over/above the ship.So that the pirates on the ship have not seen them.Soldiers to have slowed in 10 seconds. They landed on the roof.Is it possible that it was this landing? 1.H.A.L.O Jump 2.Slowdown in 10 seconds.3.And landing on the ship. Sorry for the English language. I use Translator

  • @Sebol811 No! I was on a HALO team in SF, ODA 554, and you cannot pull so low that you're only 10 seconds away from impact IF the chute doesn't malfunction or snivel as it opens. This is known as "a good way to die!"

  • 2 minutes of freefall, nice

  • once such a jump preserves were a dream, too.
