I'd have to doubt that Chillrend is the best sword in the game. It's a good sword, no doubt, but a Daedric sword with no enchantment works better to me.

@BlazinYachts I was woundering why your other comments damage was really low. Well no low.. I've done wthat with Two handed (God I hate leveling Two handed) Toke perks for it aswell. And my Daedric Warhammer does over 600 Damage.. But who uses two Handed These days? Hahah

Make any weapon the best in game.

get 100 enchanting and smithing

get the potions that add +30-50% enchanting and smithing

use enchanting potion and enchant armor/accessories to fortify smithing

also enchant the armor you use with the enchantment that goes with your weapon, one handed/two handed/archery

use smithing potion when you make your weapon(Legendary) you can do this to your armor too

My DragonBane went from 37 base damage to like 147(with the buffs it is 207, 247 when fighting dragons)

you can also get in to that house without getting the ramp down. if you jump on that house next to riftweald manor you can whirlwind sprint to the balcony

I have my one hander up over 300 Damage and you can get the same effects as the Chillrend through Enchanting.

It is a very nice sword until you get your crafting skills maxed.

500 Damage? I'm level 57, I have level 100 one-handed, and several Daedric Swords (Epic), and they only do about 95 damage.

How the hell am I suppose to do 500+ damage? Do I need level 100 double enchanting or something?

I did. I have 3 Daedric Swords (Legendary), and they all do 91 damage (I just checked it).

My One-handed is 100, I have the Armsman 5/5 perk, and my Daedric Boots and Gauntlets both have +13% One-Handed (I'll boost it when I get enchanting to 100).

One of my Daedric Swords has +32 Fire Damage, but that's not the base power.

@Zarvanis I suggest dude that you go into alchemy as well and make your own blacksmithing potions, I am 100 in alchemy blacksmith and enchanting and i managed to get my daedric sword up to 689 damage with a futher 200 damage in fire and frost damage good luck

the base stats only go up depending on ur lvl not ur skill lvl besides my destruction was lvl 17 and i got one with 30 frost dmg lol fail

@SparkesGaming no, get alchemy to 100, make potion of enchanting, in enchanting use fortify alchemy enchantment, wear that, keep doing over and over until you have a fortify enchanting potion with something like "enchantments are 6895% stronger", then use that on another fortify smithing enchantment, use that enchantment on any sword in the game, it becomes the best.

IF you do not have the ramp down, by the gate up there that box jump on it. Then jump up that roof face the ledge with the door and ramp then use wirlwind shout to get to the door. It is expert keylock btw.
