To turn on your computer, simply hit the "power" button! To avoid breaking the computer, keep hammers and explosives away from your computer. It's easy with my Komputer Tutor course!
This is pathetic. It isn't another language, it's English, and anyone in high school could understand a computer manual. These video tapes capitalize on weak, stupid people who have a fear of learning. Isn't it great how they talk about different languages and hard to understand words, then the first word of the product is "Komputer?" Sacrifice proper English and good grammar for a failed attempt at cuteness, another method of praying on the weak minded.
these used to be on super late, I remember watching them as a young kid on the weekends, usually after SNL...good memories of awful television...I love it...
I have these videotapes and I watched them when I was a child. It was back when Windows 3.11 was just getting published, and computers were hard as fuck to use; most of the stuff was command/terminal-driven. To all of you saying "LOL How couldn't they get it?", I could bet you don't have your computer longer than 10 years. Computers are now made so any retard could use them, but it wasn't like that before.
@MusicalDesert, right on. Computers have been streamlined and made more accessible for a wider audience during the last 10 years. Wordperfect, Lotus 123, dBase etc. weren't windows-based programs but they were all we had before we got MS Word, Excel and Access.
God, never thought I would ever see this again, I remember liking infomercials when I was a kid, no idea why, I just liked watching them even though I never brought anything. Amazing Discoveries was always my favorite ones to watch, I liked Mike, he actually made it a bit more enjoyable to watch then the hosts of infomercials today where they just seem more boring.
I find it hard to believe that someone with those glasses, that haircut, and that sweater didn't know how to use a computer. It was all an act, I tell you! An act!
My brother and I actually watched these infomercials all the time. That Mike Levy host we used to imitate and still do. It's too bad he has passed away. He seemed nice.
You know, this is the first time I've seen this piece of work here in a very long time. I think I was like 10 or 11 or so when this infomercial was on.
We set each one up with a different manufacturer! There's one from Candi, Hewlett Packard, etc!
So....couldn't he just have said..
We set each one up with a different manufacturer, but the same program! There's one from Microsoft! And Microsoft! And Microsoft! Look at all these different brands!
Heh, too funny. Ashame about Mike though, didnt know hes no longer with us anymore :( Poor lil feller. Brings back funny memories, used to see him on tv nonstop in early 90s.
All those shows were so badly acted and scripted though, you can tell as they were talking in the beginning, they speak on a constant cue lol. Lol and that lame guard, i remember him from the other infomercials on Amazing Discoveries. Probably just some dude they pulled off the street, or some garbage man who was on break.
Realone 95
It's very unfortunate that he died. We'll all remember Mike best as being the infomercial hosts' Sweater Man.

I also like how they set up computers from different companies. If they run the same OS, what's the difference (besides performance of course).
